which do you say is the best game for Realsports series

Recommended Posts

After finally trying all of these out, I'd say Realsports boxing is definitely the best, with Realsports tennis coming in 2nd. These 2 games are excellent and I think the other titles for the series dosen't even come close when compared to these 2.

Tennis and Volleyball would tie in my book. Both lose a few reality points since the net never seems to be a factor, but otherwise they do a really great job of depicting the sport they are supposed to, with some interesting eye candy to boot.

Soccer is decent. Football is meh. Baseball is terrible. Haven't played enough of Boxing to have an opinion.

Never played RS Boxing. Having said that, my fave would be Tennis too...with Volleyball as a close second.

RS Football 2 player is the only way to play it. I'll play the against the computer to see how quickly I can get 99 points. I wonder what the fastest time is? I think I've done it in about 5 minutes. Time to find out. :)

Tennis. It is NES quality.

The boxing is good, but way too easy. I can win every time at Boxing, but i usually get killed at Tennis.

Boxing sucks because the guys are sprinters in the ring. Way too fast. It makes the Rocky fights seem realistic. You should not be able to throw 10 unanswered punches in 2 seconds.

It's a fun game but not "real" in any respect

Activision Boxing is more realistic

Volleyball or Tennis get my vote as they capture the essence of the real game most accurately

Clearly the Football was missing guided passes, like in the original (Unrealsports?) Football.

It's too bad Double Dunk never got the Realsports label. Only because then it would be the best Realsports game. It came out at about the same time as Realsports Boxing, so it could have happened.

I'll take Tennis by a slight edge over Volleyball.

RealSport Basketball is barely playable. If that was the finished version, it's a good thing it was never released

Thanks for the heads up. I was gonna get this one. I'll steer clear.

Get Super Football. A work of genius went into that one

Double Dunk would have been part of the "SUPER" sports series. RealSports boxing came out in 1987. Super Football and Super Baseball made it out in 1988. Double Dunk came out in 1989 and was one of the last games made for the system. It was in the last batch of games made anyway. I got Double Dunk brand new in 1989 when it came out, from my parents, for my 7800 system.

Well, my favorite has to be the M-Network Football. To this day, I wonder why real tacklers don't run AWAY from who they're trying to catch. They're bound to reappear right in front of the guy with the ball.
