Which game do you prefer. River Raid I or II and why

I'd say it's a tie for me. River Raid I is much too easy, and I like a challenge. But then again, River Raid II is on the hard side. i think the difficulty level should have been on the between side of these two games.

Although RR2 is innovative I prefer RR1 simply for its challenge of ever changing rivers and obstacles

I prefer the first, but I do like the second. Mainly, it's because I find the contrived 'height' system in the second weird and counter-intuitive. The first one you just dodge and shoot. Both are good though.

I think both are very good. RRII is EASIER in my opinion once you learn to dodge the planeas and bomb the ships for points. And you must fly the River scenes at a high rate of speed, not getting greedy, because of the fuel limitations.

River Raid 2 is just too damn hard. I prefer an easy game that I can play for a long time than a hard one that I can only play for a short time.

I've never played River Raid II. So I guess (for now) I prefer River Raid I.

It's a tie for me as well. River Raid 2 was more advanced and simulation like, and it was rather challenging too (not to mention I still need to get a copy of the game since my mother got me one off of eBay, but she didn't realize untill it was too late that it was a PAL version!)

 

River Raid 1 is simpler and more fun. I guess it depends on my mood, really.

For sentimental reasons It'd have to be 1 since it's the first game I clearly remember playing but I like 'em both.

RRI because RRII is too hard.

RRI is more pick up and play.

RRII makes you crash harder.

i prefer RRI....i hate trying to control the planes altitude and lifting off on RR2. RR1 is straight shootin'.

I like the graphics in RRII, but I hate controlling the height. If they got rid of the that feature, it would have been a much better game.
