Troy_Whelan #1 Posted November 13, 2006 (edited) I am a member of Atari Age, but I am also the PS1/PS2 referee at Twin Galaxies. We are working on a project to separate the NTSC, PAL, and EMU scores as they are currently co-mingled. We are currently working on the Atari 2600 scores. We are looking for gamer confirmation of the method used to achieve the scores, but some of the gamers are no longer active at Twin Galaxies. However, some of them are active here at Atari Age. We just need for the gamers to confirm which method (NTSC/PAL/EMU) was used for each of their scores. Here is the full list of the gamers whose scores remain unconfirmed as of 01/19/2007... 78 Mark Feldt 78 Stephen R Riesenberger 46 Keith C Post 32 Giovanni Flamand 25 John Marks 21 Heather Corcoran 21 Shane Monroe 19 Stephen Krogman 18 Andrew Wagner 17 Scott Bolderson 16 Chris M Parsley 13 Tim Balderramos 12 John Drake 12 Steven Vallarian 10 David Oliver 9 Dustin Barksdale 9 Michael E Billmeyer 9 Michael McDuffie 9 Nick Johnson 6 Mark Androvich 5 Mike Ratledge 5 Patrick Wyrick 4 Jack Alberts 4 Jarrett D Wyatt 4 Joshua Warren 4 Scott Butler 3 Charles Petrizzi 3 Darlene Horton 3 Ed Semrad 3 Giovanni S Flamand 3 J. Please either respond in the Twin Galaxies forum, here in this thread, or send an email to [email protected] and let him know the information so he may properly incorporate it into the running tally correctly. Finally! PAL, real thing, for me. Manuel Rotschkar in the list. Heh, I just checked, for PAL my Air Raiders world record is still standing, as it was only beaten by an emulatorz player BTW: I have asked this before, but never got a reply: What happened to Ron Corcoran? Doesn't anybody know?

I believe his job changed and he needed to move and then pursued other interests, so he had to leave Twin Galaxies behind. His contributions to Twin Galaxies are well known, but like all organizations we must move on. Troy Edited November 14, 2006 by Troy_Whelan

Troy_Whelan #19 Posted January 3, 2007 So, what is the dealine for the actual execution of the split? There really is no true deadline. We will soon be splitting based on what we have, but we can make adjustments later if people step forward after the split. Imposing a deadline seems to imply that no changes can be made after the split, and that is not how we are handling this. We do however want to move forward as soon as possible, but I cannot quote a date at this time. The whole project is stalled. Two referees, including the lead on this project, have recently resigned from TG for reasons that haven't been made clear. The project is not stalled. Robert handed all progress off to Kelly and many of us are working behind the scenes on this effort as we have been all along. Robert was the voice for the effort at Twin Galaxies and I have been the voice for the effort here. All existing referees have the capability of completing this task and the effort has never belonged to one person alone. Robert and Brien recently resigned due to personal reasons and burn out from time commitments. You have to understand that Twin Galaxies does not pay it's staff, this is purely volunteer work. People have volunteered a lot of time and effort to help the hobby for years and eventually the time will come to pass the baton. It is inevitable that at some point in the future others will resign as well as eventually volunteer work starts to feel like a job. Troy
Christophero Sly #20 Posted January 3, 2007 I was referencing the announcement made on the TG forums that the project was being put on hold in the wake of Robert's resignation.
Troy_Whelan #21 Posted January 3, 2007 I was referencing the announcement made on the TG forums that the project was being put on hold in the wake of Robert's resignation. When Robert announced his resignation he also stated that the project was on hold as he was no longer involved. Since then he has transferred his work to Kelly Flewin and various staff members are working with Kelly to see this through to completion. It was on hold for a few days until the transfer from Robert to Kelly was completed. I know there are various threads on this subject and everything might not be obvious, but rest assured that we are seeing this through. Troy
