JacobZu7zu7 #1 Posted November 13, 2006 Hey, I bought a 7800, but I don't know if it works, there's no power supply. Anyone know if I can improvise somehow? Thanks.

Uzumaki #6 Posted November 14, 2006 Just a question, 7800 section is 2 doors down the hall from 2600 section. Or maybe the OP missed it? Anyway 7800 uses odd and nonstandard plug. If you're inclined, you could remove that plug and solder in a standard barrel style plug and use those common Genesis power supply or something like that. JacobZu7zu7 #7 Posted November 15, 2006 Ebay would be the other best option Thanks for the help all. But I also think if thyr'z no AC adaptions that have two portals, like the 7800 does.. then I'll do the eBay thing. Again, thanks for all the tips. This is the first time I ever seen a 7800... Quite nice, really.
Foxsolo2000 #8 Posted November 15, 2006 I agree there is something very pleasing to the eye about the 7800
shadow460 #9 Posted November 16, 2006 I'd recommend soldering in a 1/8 inch monaural jack for the power. This makes your new 7800 power brick compatible with most 2600's and the 2600 wireless joysticks. Instructions for that could probably be searched easily. Tip's positive on the 2600 power supply, BTW. You'd wanna make sure your 7800 matches.
