Chicago experts in X-box modding?

Hiya,

 

Are there any experts in X-box modding in the Chicago area? I want a modded X-box so that I can use Media Center and play MAME. I got the "solderless" kit for a modchip, and the install was unsuccessful. I had previously tried soldering the chip in like your'e suposed but that didn't work out terribly well either.

 

The problem is that I'm not expert, and it might just be some little teeny thing that I'm doing wrong. If there's anyone around here who could help I'd be SO grateful. Part of the reason for doing this is a TV pilot that I'm working on, so maybe you'd see your name in lights?

 

If there's no one in Chicago, is there anyone else who could help? I'd just finally like this to work, man!

You might want to check out craigslist. There is a person who advertises once in a while on the Detroit craigslist about modding Xboxes. He will also install a larger hard drive if you want. There might be someone in Chicago who does the same thing. Of course you could check out the Detroit listings and drive here if you really want a mod.
