Foxsolo2000 #2 Posted December 1, 2006 Looks fascinating. Is it genuine?
Pete5125 #3 Posted December 9, 2006 Very sad that they couldn't egt that game made and released in the early years before Fighting games start to dominate the video game becausea good side scroller as a packin would of greatly helped the Jags sales, look at what Gex did to help 3DO and look at how much media attenchion that Rayman initialy got the Jag. I did think that it was odd that Atari boasted abouth this game coming soon in all press releases, promo mags, and the back of all the Jag boxes, plus must of spent a mint on the liscence then never did anything w/ the game
mos6507 #4 Posted December 9, 2006 It looks like it would have been a really fun game.
Godzilla #5 Posted December 14, 2006 wow thats sweet. id have loved to see that game (and indiana jags!)
ovalbugmann #6 Posted December 16, 2006 I wish Atari would have been able to release this game, they were advertising it very early on - on the console box back and the poster that was in some early console boxes. It looked like it had pretty good graphics, I haven't even heard of any protos or alphas, betas around. Seems like they had plenty of time to get it out I wonder what happened? The_Laird #7 Posted December 17, 2006 Jay Smith (JS2) has one but looks nothing like any of these pictures, fakes anyone?
ovalbugmann #8 Posted December 17, 2006 I thought he might be the only one to have any version of it in his beta/prototype registry, I wonder if it's playable. Where did you see screenshots of his?
Tempest #9 Posted December 17, 2006 I thought he might be the only one to have any version of it in his beta/prototype registry, I wonder if it's playable. Where did you see screenshots of his? From what I heard its not really playable. You can move Plucky around a bit, but can't collect any plungers. Beyond that there's not much to do. Unless he found a different version. Elrond #10 Posted December 21, 2006 Hi, I noticed that a few months ago. Its interesting to note, that the screenshots are at a higher resolution than the Jaguar can actually manage, but in fairness Indiana Jags screenshots on Justclaws site are of a even higher resolution still! SO maybe my objections aren't that reasonable? Wehn I resized them to Jag standard sixe, they did show no loss in quality however. They are totally different to the few screenshots of the game that we saw before, which were fuzzy and naff - we know Atari scrapped the project and started from scratch. A Rayman beater anyone ? Looks it and a definate 4mb cart too.
Atari-Jess #11 Posted December 21, 2006 You guys go on like this would have been the greatest game ever, this is bad. Almost as bad as Game.com fans. I love my Jaguar for its unique hard-hitting titles like the immortal CLUB DRIVE, not for licensed crap titles. We we lucky that AVP turned out so great. NES Total Recall anyone? ovalbugmann #12 Posted December 21, 2006 Those Tiny Toon screenshots look awesome!. There are people that have done Hi-res static screens on the Jag for Bjl. Indiana Jags would have been great! on the Jaguar, I wish that one was finished, - as well as Tiny Toons. TT was in development for at least a few years it seems, the picture is on the box back and poster.
Gregory DG #13 Posted December 21, 2006 Many of those don't look like actual Jaguar screenshots, more like concept screens (or art.)
jaysmith2000 #14 Posted December 24, 2006 The "original" artwork was ripped from scans I have posted here and at Jaguar Sector II and then combined with Atari blueprint paper (which is ridiculously stupid since Atari didn't work on the artwork for this game, nor did they ever use that for original concept art). I'm disappointed that Atariboy chose to steal my images without asking for permission and then modifying them and distributing them to this site.
