lonesome_pa #1 Posted June 12, 2002 After about a month of "dry time", I finally found an Atari 2600 game last night at an "antiques" store; Crackpots, boxed with instructions, warranty, and the 1983 Activision catalog. He had $6.00 on the box (ouch!), but I managed to talk him into $3.00. Being it was I game I didn't have, I thought it was a good find.
moycon #2 Posted June 12, 2002 Definately better than a sharp stick in the eye!! Anytime I get a boxed game for $5 or less I consider it a good find! A 3rd party cart even more so!! Way to go!!!
Pitfall Harry #3 Posted June 12, 2002 I'm envious. Crackpots is one of the few Activision titles I'm still looking for to complete my boxed set. But what really impresses me is that you managed to talk the price in half to AN ANTIQUE DEALER!!! Ben
King Asmo #4 Posted June 12, 2002 I'll have to check, but I think I have an extra one at home, if you're interested PH. KA
lonesome_pa #5 Posted June 12, 2002 That's why I put the antique store in quotes. I use the phrase lightly. They claim to be an antique store, but I believe that nothing in there is more than 20 years old. They had a few other Atari carts that I passed up like Venture, Combat, Video Pinball, Amidar, Hangman, Circus Atari, Carvinal, of what I can remember. They were all boxed and $6.00 each. But I had all of them except the Crackpots.
ATARIPITBULL #6 Posted June 13, 2002 That was a nice catch there, I took me about 8 months of looking on ebay before I got a hold of my Crackpots complete in the box.
