Simon #1 Posted December 4, 2006 Hi, I received some additional jag carts for my collection and wanted to play them at the weekend. I set up my jaguar (which hasn't been used for at least the past three years) and connected it via the SCART cable, but their was no picture visible. I tried the aerial connection afterwards and watched an excellent picture, but unfortunately absolutely no sound. I also tried my second jag console and received the same results. The SCART cable seems to be broken somehow. No problem. But why doesn't the aerial connection provide any sound?? Has anybody ever come across this problem? I really can't imagine that both jags lost their sound abilities... Thanks, Simon
LinkoVitch #2 Posted December 4, 2006 Is your SCART cable an official Atari one? or one of the ribbon cable based ones ? If it is the later then check for a switch on the actual SCART plug itself.. try switching it over, as it changes between IN and OUT signals on the pins. No idea on the sound issue from the RF.. is odd..

Kind regards Matthias
Simon #4 Posted December 4, 2006 Hi, 1) You might have 2 Jaguars produced for the british market, the PAL-version there uses a different frequency than the german PAL. What does this mean? Anyhow I can't remember having any problems using both machines years ago... 2) You might simply need doing some fine-tuning of the channel on your TV-set to fetch the sound too. I did this several times of course. Up and down adjustments on both the L or H channel... still no sound. Thanks so far, Simon BTS: I should've brought them with me to the E-Jagfest where we could've checked them out together. Maybe next time.
