Agree with most. But "My Golf" is the best golf game for the 2600.

Seriously though, I think the most fun sports game of all on the 2600 is Bowling. Simple to pick up and play, and its just so darn addicting. Volleyball and Indy 500 are tied for close second.

For Tennis, I believe Activision Tennis is better than RealSports.

 

For Football, I still like Super Challenge Football better than Super Football, especially with 2 players. The sandlot-style play calling - "you go out, you stay in, you catch the pass" is totally in the spirit of Atari games.

Cool, I'm not saying my choices are the "correct" choices.

 

I still believe that Realsports Tennis is superior due to the variety of shots like slow arcing lobs and laser beam smashes where Activision Tennis only lets you change the angles and the ball is always the same speed.

 

I gotta play some more football too. It's been a while

I'd suggest segregating 1- and 2- player games, since the best two-player version of a sport might be useless with one player.

I still think the original Basketball is more fun than the other more "realistic" ones. There is just something really satisfying about how the players and the ball glide around in that game.

I think Pole Position is better than Indy 500. That, and you don't need a special controller.
