How do I make a CV's 9928 component video output compatible with TV levels?

The CV vdp puts out Y, R-Y and B-Y off pins 35, 36, and 38. I've tried hooking it up directly to a TV and get a messed up picture, the colors are all wrong. What value resistors do I use to get a perfect TV component signal?

Stupid question: you did amplify those outputs with at least a transistor, right?

No. I don't know anything about electronics. I can read the instructions, color codes and solder parts together, that's it.

Then it's not going to work. Those outputs aren't strong enough to use with your TV.

8bit Classics gets working component video out of the CV but their board is made up of little SMD chiclet parts and I can't figure out their parts values by looking at them.
