JB #26 Posted December 13, 2006 Wasn't there also an SNES light gun at one point that looked like a revolver? Or was that for some other system? Konami's Justifier, and yes, it was for the SNES and every other system. If there was one, wouldn't it theoretically work with this console? It should... for Justifier-compatible games. It's not Zapper-compatible, though it uses similar operating principles. I have read that the Super Scope 6 will NOT work with Zapper games, as there are differences in their internal behavior (ie: hardware advances that make them incompatible). You hear right. They use a totally different theory of operation(hence why SuperScope games don't have the seizure-inducing white flashes when you fire).
Cheese007 #27 Posted December 13, 2006 SNES ports. Can't play zapper games, but you could wire a controller port yourself to play them. Anyone positive about that? I took a quick pass at wiring the zapper to a SNES connector and am pretty sure I got the wiring right, but it didn't work. Double check the wiring just to be sure. Just for clarification I meant adding a new set of controller ports.
+remowilliams #28 Posted December 13, 2006 Double check the wiring just to be sure. Just for clarification I meant adding a new set of controller ports. Gotcha. Double checked though, and I don't think this works. The Zapper only has four lines - two of which are +5 and GND (so I know those are wired correctly). that leaves two lines on the NES side (6&7) that should[?] match up with the two unused lines on the SNES side (5&6). So there should only be two possibilities there for wiring, and neither works. Ah well.
Cheese007 #29 Posted December 13, 2006 That sucks. Well, at least Zelda works.
ewing92 #30 Posted January 10, 2007 sorry for bringing up a month old post, but, are you guys saying that i can play Famicom games on this thing? And Super Famicom? Sounds like i will probably get my hands on this one if so.

Sounds like i will probably get my hands on this one if so. The SNES side has lockout tabs, so I imagine you'd need to snap those off. And the NES side would need a FC>NES adapter. I haven't tested either, as I don't have any Jap carts. I've been using the FC Twin a hell of a lot, and its definitely my favorite Nintendo clone device ever
