+wood_jl
I suppose this is a good deal if you're in the business of collecting Axlon products, specifically. But you can get the official Atari-brand 48K upgrade brand new from Best Electronics for $20, new in box. So if it's merely a matter of upgrading a 400, that was absolutely NO DEAL. Actually, this is a SOLDERLESS upgrade for the Atari 800. It will let me have 48K + 128K RamDisk + Bit3 all at once At least, thats the idea... Oh. Your original message says it's a 48K upgrade for 400 - NOT 800 - which is why I replied as I did. So it's not for the 400, then.
fibrewire
Well, it was manufactured for use in the Atari 400. I'm just gonna plug it into Slot 1 in an 800 with a Basic cart, PRINT FRE(0), and hope I get 37902

+MrFish
Computer/Cart Lot Yea, I know, 1 Ingot. I'll see how everything else works when it arrives. JVC BM-H1300SU I already received this item. New in opened box. Image looks great and it's PAL/NTSC, but there is a slight tilt (about 1/8 inch from left to right) to the image and no way to adjust externally. Is there typically any way to adjust this internally? I looked around but didn't see anything obvious. I'd been looking for a decent studio monitor at work this size for quite a while, but a good one never turned up. The eBay picture that was posted for this one was bad and the end date was on Thanksgiving Day -- those two factors helped me land this baby for $5.50. Cheaper than I'd get it for at work. +bob1200xl
If it is a professional monitor, shouldn't it have a Tilt control? If not, you could loosen the yoke just enough to rotate it very carefully. That may be why it is out of alignment - the yoke slipped a bit in shipping. Don't move the yoke forward or backward on the CRT neck or you might wreck the purity. Bob Computer/Cart Lot Yea, I know, 1 Ingot. I'll see how everything else works when it arrives. Yea, I thought it would have tilt as well. Actually, you can't adjust size or position for s-video input either, it only works for rgb. The size and placement are just where they should be though. I figured that the tilt happened in shipping as well - it was ups ground. I'll check out adjusting the yoke when I have a chance. Thank Bob. spookt
Just before Christmas I bought an 800XL from eBay which was listed a "dropped" and faulty. I basically bid on it for parts. When it arrived it was the dirtiest machine I have ever seen. Covered in thick dust and marks. Also a liquid mark on the bottom of the case. The front two corners of the case are missing, smashed off presumably when it was dropped, the left shift keycap is gone and the whole thing rattles when shaken. Yesterday, before taking it apart I plugged it in to my monitor and the power and lo and behold it works fine! Not bad for 99p plus shipping Edited January 16, 2012 by spookt
