What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?

Picked Up a couple 810s off of eBay. One is a Happy Drive that was refurbished by a guy in San Jose. Probably an Atariage member I bet. Anyone know where to purchase the special happy software from?

AFAIK the latest software for the Happy 810 is V5.3

There's also a later happy 7 version for the 810, and 7.1 disks. Try both and see what works. Also could be interesting to open it up to see what's inside. there's various hardware versions of the happy 810, the oldest ones being hand wire wrapped. Although one of yours is the later Tandon mech, If thats the Happy, it's more likely to be a later happy revision.

Congrats on receiving yours intact! My case was destroyed in shipping due to almost nonexistant packing material.

Nothing but the 830, but it looks clean and nothing rattles around. Smaller in person than I thought it would be. No PS.

I just want to get an 810 and then stick my 800 with an 810, 850 and 830 and a nice old Bell Phone on a spare desk and then look at them every once in a while.

I can't even use it as I have VOIP and got rid of my copper phone lines many years ago.

Maybe find that 40 col thermal printer too someday.

Hi, Just in case you dont have a PS for the 830 yet. I have found a cheap alternative. It is a match for voltage and capacity 24VAC and 4.8VA, not sure about the connector, but it can be changed: search ebay for SPN4027A.

example:

Took a chance on an 'untested' 800 because the price was right - $50.

Horribly packaged, of course it arrived damaged. They guy literally wrapped it in Saran wrap and stuffed it in a box that he could just barely tape shut after adding some shredded paper to take up the space above the keyboard.

Oh well, at least it works. I could get my money back from just the keyboard and POKEY. A curt message has been sent requesting a partial refund.

Sadly missing the paper label, so no serial number to report in the Calling 800s thread.

Finally!, After many months, a friend brought me my new XC11 from San Pedro de la Paz, Chile.

It looked dirty and ugly from outside, but it was nothing compared to the inside. Still very excited to clean it, fix it and use it.

I also got an Atari 800XL. It doesn't boot. Not only dirty inside but also all rusty.

Tuesday I received my "new" Atari 1050 disk drive with an original Happy mod. I'm currently archiving my original college collection, just to see if I have any "missing" gems that aren't already available online. She's a beauty and seems to be working fine.

Last week saw a complete AtariLab starter set for only $25 shipped. Always wanted to play around with one of these!

Also, another working 800 for only $74.99 shipped. Not too bad.

800s are always fun to take a gamble on because you never know what might be lurking in the expansion slots. This one was just a stock 48k unit.
