Have not read any of this thread but the 410 mint I just got off ebay NOt long ago less than a month ago

here is pictures

http://www.atariage....ost__p__2388151

I also got some of the carts too!! for the 2600 .

I also got a 2600-daptor direct from the maker its cool lets me play 2600 stella games with PADDLES..

I did get paddles to work w 800 but using weird joystick to mouse for windows program then using the paddles as up down it was lame as noone wrote any interface for a800.exe for paddle ..

I also got a whole lot of paddles witch I replaced all of the 1Meg ohm pots with some REAL tight ones I got at AXEMAN in ST PAUL MN they are really cool non button paddles the surplus store barrel says TYCO I dont know but the grease in the pots DID Not rot like the red crap in Atari ones SO AFTER STEALING THE GREASE AND KEEPING THE ARARI PADDLE and stealing the bottom metal peice with the grease I was able to make some cool TIGHT paddles..

oh I also got some NEW Flashback II joysticks for $14 2 of them was good deal since I needed NEW joysticks..

ps I got some weird looking GENERIC PADDLES witch work good too!..

paddles 1st then whole pile including all I own exept one pair is on ebay..

and 410 mint pics too..

2703 is my fixed paddle melting inside to restrenghten it

and some pictures of CARTS not all recent but look cool.

oh almost forgot a good looking 1050

and the minty 800 i got 4 years ago or mabie more

the 1050 was only $14.00 plus shipping and the 410 was 6.95 plus shipping I got lucky no one was watching ebay..

Just picked up an ancient hacked A800 on eBay. This person not only added a RAM mod (to save dumps?) and what looks like a printer port (check out the wiring to the controller ports), but they also hacked the notepad! (See screen shot.)

There's a tiny reset button next to the monitor port that I'll have to trace. I don't want to take the system apart for cleaning until other folks have had a look and offer explanations...

I think that was some vt100 morse code reciver transciever for ham radio for RTTY I think I could be wrong but that might be what it was for could be worth looking into seeing if it would still work w a kantronics modem..

I still have some old basic 232 serial programs and some vt100 terminal programs, I almost was going to try RTTY but never got morse code down and never upgraded my ham licence..

how about that bum out of Venezuela: ebay id: buysellven

41 negatives this month...made his feedback private...and no one is getting there items after 2 months.

now he is using another id to try and sell his stuff again, BEWARE!

I guess I didn't know you could change your feedback to "private." I don't understand what Ebay thinks this will do, or how this could affect anybody by the most distasteful of scammers.

I looked at their feedback just now, and see what you mean. What good does the withholding of information do?

post-16281-129001397418_thumb.jpg

I'm sure there are comments in the feedback about his new alterego... If you mark it private people can only see the scores, and you are unable to sell anything... So he hid it and moved on to a new handle...

Stupid really as now he has low feedback which is as bad as negative, especially when looking at an overseas seller in a suspect country (sorry any cool people from Venezuala)...

I'm actually wondering if it's a lot of negative feedback about shipping issues, which would be expected as I'm sure with his recent volumne some are delayed or lost and tracking/insurance is not very effective in this case.

I have herd of complaints about people not shipping there on ebay..

600XL, new in box.

post-16281-0-39083700-1319000413_thumb.jpg

The real deal - actually sealed. The glue was sold old holding it shut, it opened easily, however.

Very nice!

The same seller has them listed under another auction now. Great job, wrapping the original box in cardboard, so it arrived mint!

It's pure bliss to open a new, sealed machine and smell the electronics!

That's a bit more than I would pay, even for a NIB 600xl... Wonder how that seller came across so many, he's been selling them for awhile and it lists more than 10 availible..

Ok, yeah - I didn't say it was dirt cheap, and in my defense, I didn't think the title of the thread was "What's the latest Atari thing(s) you've bought on ebay that was an extremely good deal and cheap enough that I'd buy one." Sure, I'd take one for less. I'd like to have paid $10 plus $5 shipping. Where can I get one for that?

I think that getting an ACTUAL new-in-box 25-28 year-old 600XL for $65 ***shipped*** isn't that bad. We're talking new, sealed in-box. We're talking shipped.

The actual shipping charge was on the package, that was extremely well-packed. It was $14 and change, so let's round that up less than 50-cents to $15. So $65 was pretty close to $50, plus shipping.

Next,. let's compare to what is RELATIVE. In this case, I'd say what is truly relative is another new-in-box 600XL. How fortunate that Best Electronics sells them.

So it's $70 for one with no box, and $109 for one complete in box. I'll assume that it means "new in sealed box." I've made many orders from Best, and if he shipped this for less than $20, I'd eat my hat. I'm not complaining, but I'm not sure how many orders you've placed, and they're usually Priority Mail, as he chooses. It's been $20 for packages that are less than this.

But even if it wasn't, and we'll give benefit of the doubt that he'd ship for $15, that would be $124. If it was $20 (I'll bet) it would be $129. So effectively, here's a brand new-in-box, sealed 25-28-year-old 600XL for APPROXIMATELY HALF of what they're available from, elsewhere. That's why I thought this was worth mentioning. Let me know when we can get one for 1/4 the Best Electronics price, and I'll go in on a bulk purchase, for a second one.

I don't object to wanting stuff cheap, but let's be realistic. I think I have been, here.

I think that's a very fair price. The more I shop on eBay, the more I'm willing to pay for quality packing and quick shipment. Plus, "new in box" seems to be a relative term on eBay. Which power supply came with it? If it's not the "ingot," then the deal is even better.

Well if it was a 800XL then we would be talking ;-)

But seriously I wasn't trying to goad you or anything, my apologies if you took it that way. You are right it is a good price (and I didn't read it right, with shipping included that makes it a much better deal). Also knowing how well it was packaged makes a difference to, what with all the shitty packages I've received from Ebay sellers.

I'm still curious as to where he got so many of them from though. Wonder if he's reselling for a Venezuelan seller.
