Atari8bitCarts
Finally picked up a banner! For a little over $50 on eBay. The guy was given it at an Atari show for helping to clean up. It had been stored, never folded all this time.

Atari8bitCarts
Cool, looks like it's in really great shape it is, and he shipped it rolled up (the guy was really nice). I looks great in my Atari cave (which I hope to take some pic's soon).
jacobus
Could this be the fabled Basic 'B' version?
Atari8bitCarts
Could this be the fabled Basic 'B' version? I was thinking the same, but then thought it must be one of those Best or B&C labeled carts. Logo was labeled the same way I think.

+orpheuswaking
Finally picked up a banner! For a little over $50 on eBay. The guy was given it at an Atari show for helping to clean up. It had been stored, never folded all this time. That's a really nice condition banner. I had looked at it and decided to pass as I already have one (but nowhere near as good a shape). You got a great deal on it Edited June 23, 2013 by orpheuswaking

You got a great deal on it I know, it is great, and I thought I'd be in a bidding war since I don't see these at all on eBay. This guy was at the actual 1986 Comdex show too which I thought was pretty cool. USPS did kind of smash the tube so it has a slight bend. But it was never folded . It still has the original cardboard tubes in it to hang

Fletch
Not an eBay purchase, but I bought a 1200XL motherboard from Best. Ultimately I plan on returning my modified 1200XL to stock, but seeing the board in the original packaging is making that call more difficult. kenjennings
Darn it! - turns out to be a label variant of version "C" ??? Is this just a collector thing? Version B was the worst. Why do you want it on a cart? Version C is the best to have if you're using it.
+slx
A Jaguar controller http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.nl%2Fitm%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D190862831082 Not really cheap but that seems to be the going price these days and I wanted to have at least one of them. And a French 7800, hopefully working..... http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.fr%2Fitm%2FATARI-7800-MANETTE-JEU-%2F271233193143%3F I figured not a lot would be lost at that price, even if the shipping is about 200% of the price

+Guitarman
Not fake, just less available and more desirable to have than other Atari drives. The XF551 was the last of the Atari drives released for the 8bit so the production run was much less than the 1050 or the 810. Plus it is the only DS/DD drive Atari made for the 8bit. If possible, I'd try to find one on that side of the pond since, between the going price and shipping from the U.S., it will be fairly pricey. Oh, just accepted your friend request on Facebook! Yes, that i know... but considering you can buy one "reconditioned like new" guaranteed working from Best Electronics for "just" 175.00 USD i think it is kinda silly to pay more on ebay. I have seen loose XF551s going on ebay for 30/40 USD from time to time (in unknown working state of course). All boxed one have reached the 200+ USD mark easily though. One of the most expensive Atari 8-bit related item to own! Personally i do not like the XF551 design much. I think they should have followed the XE line design more... with the silver/red emblem etc. Just a carved Fuji logo on them. Too bad! Talk to you soon Adam! :-)
