Saw a 360 commercial tonight...

And it got me thinking...i really don't see very many 360 commercials. What's the deal with that? I'm sure the topic has probably already come up, but shouldn't they be advertising the hell out of the ONLY "next-gen" console you can walk into a store and buy for the christmas season? I mean, i've got one and i'm enjoying the hell out of my stack of games for it, but is public awareness really high enough that they can get away with such little advertising? Or are there a ton of commercials, and i'm just missing them?

There's plenty of Xbox 360 ads on cable television (G4, Cartoon Network, and the like). The main problem is that they're just not terribly compelling. You get a lot of green boxes against sterile white backgrounds, and I have a hard time believing that such a combination can sell systems. At least they're not threatening too, like the Playstation 3 ads!

¥ea, I've probably seen about 20 xbox commercials this month alone.... Cable-TV.

I have seen quite a few commercials OTA HD and C-Band/Ku-Band. I have seen more commericals for GoW then anything else but that has the 360 logo at the end.

Yeah, this was a similar green boxes/white background silent kind of ad. So i guess it's entirely possible that i've been missing 'em. Ah well...at least the system's not bombing, but i really would've liked to see Microsoft start to establish some dominance this time around.
