Well there IS a rom, but I'm not sure where you can get it. The PAL version of the game was dumped, but the NTSC version was not (what's the status on that anyway?). Someone did a hack of the PAL version to turn it to NTSC, and I'm pretty sure that one is available somewhere.

I have only played for a few minutes, weird controls: diving, climbing, turns are slow. But I will give it a chance.

I know I am bumping an old thread, but I figured it was better then starting a new one.

 

I have a question for anyone here who can answer.

I downloaded both rom images (NTSC and PAL) just to check some things and I was wondering why is it that the PAL version is 8K and yet the NTSC is 16K ? Converting PAL to NTSC cannot possibly increase the size of the rom image by that much can it? Or is the NTSC rom image on that site just a doubled image? Please let me know because what I really want is an 8K NTSC rom image. (one that can fit onto a 2764 eprom) Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There are 8K and 16K version of both the NTSC and PAL versions out there. If I recall correctly, the 8K version is the original and uses the Parker Bros bankswitching scheme. The 16K version was converted to use the Atari 16K bankswitching scheme.
