AussieAtari #1 Posted December 19, 2006 What games supported the Colecovision's Roller Controller and are they any good?
Pixelboy #2 Posted December 19, 2006 - Slither (it's the pack-in game of the Roller Controller) - Victory - Omega Race - War Games (the RC is used in two-player mode only, IIRC) I've heard Centipede is also compatible with the RC, but I can't confirm this myself. Aside from Slither, I haven't tried any of these games in Roller Controller mode, so I can't give you an opinion. All I can tell you is that Slither was fun for a little while, but the Roller Controller itself feels a little clunky. I wish AtariSoft had released an RC-compatible CV version of Missile Command. That would have rocked.
Bill Brasky #3 Posted December 19, 2006 Centipede works with the RC. The RC is the only way to play Decathalon unless you want to destroy your joysticks. Can the Atari computers trakball work with CV?
joeybastard #4 Posted December 19, 2006 Centipede works with the RC but only in joystick mode. Spinning it faster does not move the player faster like it does in Slither using roller mode. I find that it kind of defeats the purpose since it doesn't work as intended but maybe that's just me.
jboypacman #5 Posted December 19, 2006 (edited) Centipede for the ColecoVision is great! Slither isnt a bad effort either.I cant get the hang of Victory myself.I need to snag up a copy of Omega Race at some point but am holding out for 2600 version with the Booster Grip. Colecovision #6 Posted December 21, 2006 Omega Race is a great game but you can play with the joystick too. I tried Centipede before but it didn't seem to work.
