I always thought there should have been a National lampoon's Vacation game. Maybe driving the truckster with aunt Edna on the roof trying to get to Wally World.

Escape From New York

 

I always thought this was a natural for an Atari game or any system, Heck it came out in the Hey Day of the 2600.

I imagine it having Vector type graphics like they showed in some parts of the beginning of the movie and having three levels. The first level would be you guiding Snake to land his hanger glider on top of the World Trade Center. The Second level would be you trying to escape out of the building or room that Snake is in when the "night people" (forget what they are called) are trying to get him. The third level would be when you have the President in the cab and are trying to cross the bridge for the escape!

I stand beside my Fall Guy post from 2006! But i'll also suggest thunder cats smokey and the bandit and this will sound odd but I think it could've worked highway to heaven.

Warehouse 13

 

STILL upset this show was canceled, but it has the perfect setup for a game. Travel the world collecting artifacts and use them against bad guys while trying to "deposit" them in the warehouse. Each artifact would have a different "power". Kind of like the Golden Chalice in Adventure but with MANY more variables.

 

Sounds doable to me (easy to say for a non-programmer).
