Problem with my ADAM

Recommended Posts

About 2 weeks ago, I dragged the ADAM out, and was playing around with some games that I had recieved...

One problem s that the color sometimes fades out, jostling the cable from the TV output can coorect that temporarily, so I'm gueessing its a prob with the RF.

New problem. Was enjoying a game of Burgertime, when my child stoimped on the floor next to the ADAM. It went back to the title screen, but the name of the game was missing. Turned it off then back on. Blkack screen. Printer did its spin, but the position never reset.. Turned off, then pulled BT from the cart slot. Same thing. Pulled the expansions I had from the slots. Same thing. Unplugged the power cord and replaced it. Same thing. Anyone know what's going on here?

Why are you using the TV output instead of the monitor output? The system won't fully boot-up until the printer carriage returns to it's start position, or the purple wire inside is cut.

TV output because I don't have a monitor.

You are saying that I can cut the purple wire then?

Funny, I was wondering about getting snagged by a carriage home position sensor when I went to pull the Adam PS out of the printer. But since I cut all the logic boards and wires out, I guess it didn't cause a problem for me. :D

You can get composite video out of the monitor out jack. It might look clearer that the TV out. Yeah, there's no harm in cutting the purple wire, unless you're actually crazy enough to use the ADAM printer.
