Can you use the Track and Field controller with other games?

I don't currently have a working one but does it just operate as a joystick more or less?

 

Could you use the two "run" buttons as left/right and the "jump/throw" button for fire in games like Space Invaders or maybe to activate the other weapons in games like Stargate and Spy Hunter?

It should be compatible with Decathlon and Sweat. You'd plug it into the right joystick port for Sweat, though, and you'd still need paddles in the left.

Never heard of sweat, that sounds cool. It will probably also work with Epyx (I think) Summer sports and winter sports, though some events stray away from the typical L/R/F controll, so it may not work with all of them.

Sweat is a Starpath prototype that we were discussing last week in the prototypes forum.

 

Speaking of--theTrack and Field controller will work with one of the games on Party Mix. If you set up the second game for four players, the T&F controller can be used to control either the red or the blue team in Tug of War.

Does anyone have a T&F controller and TRIED to use it with Space Invaders of as the second controller for Stargate or Spy Hunter?
