FS: Commodore 1702 monitor

The monitor is still in good shape and works great. I'm looking to get $20 for it but I'm negotiable and possibly up for trades.

Those are real heavy so local pickup is strongly suggested since the shipping cost would be close if not more than what the monitor's worth.

 

The 1702 could take S-Video if you build one that converts the 4 pins connector to 2 RCA connectors for chroma and luma port. Mono sound only sadly.

You are right it is heavy as any 13" CRT monitor is, so I was thinking local pickup only. Around the NY/NJ area, I could even meet someone depending on the distance. And the s-video does work. I made one of those cables to play my PS2 and Gamecube games and the picture was fantastic on it. The sound is weak so I never used the internal speaker.

Forget Svideo. That monitor was made to shine in 15khz RGB. If still in proper working order it will give you a better picture than 90% of your high priced HDTVs on the market.

 

It also makes an awesome test bench monitor for both console and arcade repair. It is SO worth $20 that if it were within 50 miles of me I'd have already picked it up.

The 1702 doesn't have an RGB input, maybe you are thinking of the 1902?
