Atari freak 1 #1 Posted June 15, 2002 I was wondering, who else was raised on the nes. I was. I have alot of fond memories of playing my nintendo entertainment system. (as it was called back then.)
Nateo #2 Posted June 15, 2002 A lot of kids my age either had an NES or a Genesis, but I couldn't have been happier with my good ol' Tandy 1000.
Paul Slocum #3 Posted June 15, 2002 I also contributed to the crash by buying a C64 when I wanted to upgrade from my 2600. I didn't get a NES until around 1998. -Paul
NE146 #4 Posted June 15, 2002 I'm "old" and grew up with the 2600 and other consoles of the day. But I've always been a buyer and the NES was the "college years" console so I have many a fond memory of playing it while drinking with my buddies then! It was and still is one of my favorite consoles, and I love playing it on my Dreamcast today with NesterDC (my original NES is back at home stored in a closet along with all my games). Varan #8 Posted June 16, 2002 NES was my high school years. Played a lot of the first two Zeldas, first three Super Marios, Metal Gear, Metroid, Solomon's Key, Megaman.... I'm waiting for my mom to send me my system so I can see what games I still have.
liquid_sky #9 Posted June 17, 2002 solomans key was a great game.. im partial to the SMS version, soloman no kagi, crisper graphixa and more responsive gameplay.. I usually use Smeg or NesterDC now, thats how I play the 8-bit classics.
