8th lutz #1 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) I did a couple months ago. I dreamed about ballblazer being on the intellivision and on the colecovision. The scary part was I never owned a colecovision. From a techincal standpoint, programmers would have difficult to program it for the intellivision. Uzumaki #2 Posted December 30, 2006 I always get dreams about games that never existed. Recently I had one of finding a pink colored Menavision cart with the picture of barbie on the front. Never played it though.
+Random Terrain #3 Posted December 30, 2006 This isn't exactly what you are describing, but I had dreams about games that didn't exist.: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62425 http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5451 The Atari 2600 boxes were detailed and realistic. Games that were never made and nothing like what I had ever seen. The human brain is cool.
Clint Thompson #4 Posted December 30, 2006 I had a dream about Club Drive 2 once (for the Jaguar). Some weird Indian guy that runs a local market was running around the corner of his building late at night and then he had this Club Drive 2 cart. Then all this candy was on the floor and I remember seeing a popcorn machine popping corn a mile a minute. Not sure wtf the point of the dream was, but it was screwed up! Video #5 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) I've had lots of dreams about games (or systems) that don't exist. I had one a long time ago(91 or so) about building a thing to let me play gameboy games on TV, must have been a premenition or something, cause in 94, Nintendo released the Super GameBoy. Of course my dream machine, wouldn't need a system, and would have allowed different colors for sprites, and bg. (I hear that was the plan wiht the SGB, and how it gets high color pics, but don't know) For some odd reason, I dreamed that Lemmings was on the C64. All green white and black, and really slow, but escentally the same as the PC game. Even got a few pics somewhere around here that I drew in reference to my dream. Eh, dreamed of finding all kinds of stuff for the 2600, like a 3D racer (well, more mode7 style, now that I think about it) Uh, Super Mario Bros, Mule, a 3D FPS type game, quiet a few others, but those are the ones that stuck. What's funny is, how you know that it never happened, but instead of doing outrageous stuff, like putting Halo on a 2600, your brain subconciously takes into account the systems weeknesses and you really think "I know it doesn't exist, but could it have been done?" Of course, maybe it's my brain saying "get off your ass and program some of this stuff yourself" of course, not knowing ANY programming myself, that'll probably not ever happen. Of course, I am curious. Edited December 30, 2006 by Video
Lauren Tyler #6 Posted December 31, 2006 Plenty of times. I remember having a dream that there was a Who Framed Roger Rabbit game for the Atari 2600, and I kept messing up at this point where Roger had to run past a barrel of Dip, and if he touched it he died, so he had to jump over it, but I kept forgetting to jump!! I also had a dream that there was Pole Position for the NES, and Thundercats as well, although the latter I never tried in my dream.
Atariman #7 Posted December 31, 2006 (edited) I've had those kinds of dreams before. I'm typically in a thrift store somewhere when I find them (and usually quite a few of them). Of course, when I DO find them, they are a little more expensive than I would like, so I usually wind up either picking them all up (and lamenting the fact that I'm soon going to be completely broke) or haggling with the shop owner. Man, my subconscious self can be a real jerk... And now that I think of it, I've never made it out of the store with them. I'm always right in the middle of putting them in the cart and looking around more or talking to the owner of the store... odd now that I think of it... n8littlefield #9 Posted January 2, 2007 Horrible story to share, but back when I was collecting Starwars toys, like hitting stores 2-3x weekly, I used to have dreams where I'd go into a store and find like 40 figures on the pegs, all of which were new and needed for my collection, of course none of which really existed. I remember the feeling of panic in the dream, like I could only afford 5 toys that week, but there were 40 that I needed.

NintendoDieScreaming #13 Posted October 17, 2007 I've never had dreams about games that don't exist, but I have had dreams about albums that don't exist. A few years ago, I had a dream about this record with a mountain in a desert and the Dark Side of the Moon prism over it on the cover. I have no idea what it sounded like, but evidently it was the best album I'd ever heard. I think it was a joint Pink Floyd-Led Zeppelin venture, which is odd considering that I really don't like Led Zeppelin at all.
