Marco #1 Posted January 2, 2007 (edited) Well, a bit off-topic, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I had a couple of days off from work and decided to do some work on my Funhouse pinball. I cleaned it, changed a bunch of broken lamps, installed a new trap door and replaced a bunch of the rubber bands. Now, one final issue is remaining: the steps gate will not close. It opens up nicely, but it won't spring back into the default position again. As far as I can see, there's a little spring that should do this, and there appears nothing wrong with the spring. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong here? Cheers, Marco Edited January 2, 2007 by Marco
MattG/Snyper2099 #2 Posted January 3, 2007 There are a few things that could be wrong. The most likely being that the contacts on that switch are dirty. You can clean tham with a fine grit sand paper. The coil could be bad or the transistor that controls that coil could be bad. Most likely it is a physical problem though. That little coil pulls tight and a leaf switch or two should make contact. As far as I remember there is a switch that opens the door and a different switch that closes the door.
