Wo! Someone get this Awesome guy back to making more VecFlash carts!.

There is still a big interest.

In the mean time. Why isn't someone doing something similar with an SD card adapter?

Most other platforms have this now!

Very nice!

Please add me to the list of potential customers.

Let us know when where and how much. I'm certainly interested.

Oh OK. What stumbling blocks have you come up against with the SD card implementation?

Also were you the original designer of the VecFlash as well?

I would assume the big advantage of the newer SD card version would be you could store far more ROM images in it?

Let us know when

Some time yet. Which is why I'm thinking of resurrecting the VecFlash for a while.

None, I just like to make sure it works OK. Which means lot's of testing, tinkering and PCB revisions. And also fitting in the time between work and other projects.

Also were you the original designer of the VecFlash as well?

Yes.

A LOT more. Every game now and in the future.

As someone who is just now getting a real Vectrex after many years of coveting them I would love it if you resurrected the VecFlash for a time while you work on the predecessor. :)

As I'm Months away from finishing the new cart, the VecFlash will be back in stock in about 2 weeks from now.

Thanks.

Is that an ARM CPU in the VecFlash USB? Incidentally, I wrote the SD/FAT driver for the Harmony cart, so let me know if you would like to reuse any of the code (mostly C)?

It's a PIC.

It's OK - thanks.

To be honest, I need to sell some more of the USB version to fund the new cart.

You know, if you remember the history of the Osborne 2 computer, this might not be the best marketing strategy...

;)

Actually, I'm probably in, as I'd be OK with the USB version, since I already have an SK multi-cart.

(Just a question of whether I can afford it now that there's a Coleco Adam SD adapter coming out... Hmm...)

If you remember the history of the Osborne 2 computer you'll know that John Osborne much preferred the Vectrex over the Coleco Adam... :P

What is the price of a VecFlash USB?

$80 shipped.

Will the new one be higher priced?

Hopefully about the same price.

Hiya Richard. I see you have the Vecflash up for sale now. How do I order one? I couldn't see anything obvious on the web page. Cheers. :)

He also had a nasty habit of turning into the Green Goblin every now and then.

I was just looking at the specs of the Vectrex and I have some questions.

Will this new SD card cart expand the 1k of memory the Vectrex has? Or is there any other way to expand the memory?

More memory would allow better games to be developed.

What is the weight of a Vectrex? (For shipping calculations).

Our group is looking to buy a Vectrex for our displays. Either locally in Australia or from the UK. If anyone can help out please contact me. (We need a PAL 220 / 240 VAC model).

Are there any plans to make more of the speech adapters for the Vectrex?

Its so wonderful to see people still developing such amazing items for these wonderful old Retro machines.

TNX!
