I actually owned one of these as a kid and I always regreted selling it back in the early 90's. I sold it along with a LOT of other stuff for like 10 bucks!! What was I thinking!!! Anyways, I'm glad to finally have it back, I've been looking for a nice one of these for a while. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm trying to brag because if it does I apoligize, I'm not. I just figure what's the point of collecting if you can't show somethng off once in a while, right?

Let me know what you think, THANKS EVERYONE :)

What a great find! I bought the Smurfs Save the Day cart for a really great deal but then it needs all this crap, too.

So I am also on the hunt...

The cart is easy to get. It's the KidVid and the tapes that are harder to get let alone a box in that good of shape.

I always thought those things were neat.

Myself, I got the Smurf game for the 2600 coming in the mail from CPUWiz, thank God I finally got the last cart I actually need for my 2600 collection.

And since I got mine from CPU for a mere $3, I can say now that if you people have a bunch of Smurf games just taking up space, they're going for around $10 each on Ebay right now, not bad for that game (at least from my limited experience).

That cardboard is really weak so to find a nice one is rare. Very well done. Enjoy it that way. I am sure you would not need the level of memory assistance the game could offer if you played the game :) Some things are better left as memories :)

When I got mine many years ago I took it to a friends house and we played all the games for Smurfs and B. bears. It was a neat set of games.

Congrats its real hard to find a nice box.

Careful there Cassidy, them there are fightin' words. :x .....j/k.... But really though my Smurfy bias aside SSTD is a pretty good game, there is ALOT worse out there.

Interesting... my family has/had that exact same tape player/recorder, just without the "kid vid" stuff on it. (I had never really looked at the kid vid tape player before) Anyway, congrats! :)

Coleco did sell the Kid Vid tape player as a regular old stand-alone tape player. I know because I have a boxed / complete one. It even has the special Kid Vid port on the side. It's the only one I've ever seen, so I'm guessing they didn't sell very many of them (that or else most people just threw them away).

Here's some pictures of it. Note the picture of the side, which says:

Adaptable to Atari 2600 and Colecovision Expansion Module I

Like I say, I've never seen another one like it!
