Pac Man Collection is a round-up of the various official (and some not so official) releases of one of the most popular games in history. Now we can finally fill a void that was missing from the 7800 library for two decades. Within this game cartridge you will find:
- Pac-Man (The Original!)
- Puck Man (Same game, more difficult maze)
- Hangly Man (Empty Mazes? Vertical Tunnels? Invisible Mazes?)
- Ultra Pac-Man (6 New Mazes for a new variety)
- Random Mazes* (You just never know which maze will appear next!)
- Ms. Pac-Man (The second installment of the Pac-Family)
- Ms. Pac-Attack (Same game, more challenging mazes)
- Ms. Random Mazes* (Like Random Mazes above, but with the Ms. flavor)
* - denotes games that were not released as actual arcade games, officially or otherwise
Also included is the 'Plus' and 'Fast' variations of these games, which you can individually set on or off for each game. Plus Mode has the various effects when enabled:
- Game Speed is increased
- Bonus prizes are replaced with alternate items
- Bonus prizes now have the same effect as an energizer, except the monsters turn invisible (they are worth double points this way!)
- Eating a standard energizer doesn't always turn all four monsters blue...
- Eating a standard energizer might make the maze and dots disappear for the duration of the energizer
- Maze colors are different as an indicator of 'Plus' mode
'Plus' mode is the equivalent of the arcade game Pac-Man Plus. 'Fast' Mode increases the speed of the player only when enabled. In total, you have 24 game variations to choose from!
The High Score Cartridge is able to store high scores for each variation separately.
This version of Pac-Man Collection uses the new PokeyONE audio board for sound effects and music. The PokeyONE is a drop-in replacement for Atari's proprietary POKEY chip, at least for applications that only rely on audio (such as arcade games and 7800 games). Unfortunately, the POKEY is a custom chip produced by Atari. Therefore, the only POKEY chips in existence are those that were manufactured for Atari 8-bit computers (400/800, 800XL, 130XE, etc.), the Atari 5200, certain Atari arcade games, and the two Atari 7800 games Ballblazer and Commando. There are very few sources of new, unused POKEY chips. Many are removed from Ballblazer carts, as they are relatively common. These chips have not been produced in 30 years!
This means that the POKEY chips in existence are drying up, and we'd prefer to not continue using Ballblazer cartridges as a source for POKEY chips. The higher price of Pac-Man Collection with a PokeyONE reflects the price of the game and the inclusion of the PokeyONE (which retails for $40). We feel this is a fair price given the $40 retail cost of the PokeyONE alone. If this item is out of stock because we are currently out of PokeyONE boards (you cannot add the game to your shopping cart), we have an alternate option where you can send us a POKEY chip or Ballblazer cart and still obtain a copy of Pac-Man Collection.

If you'd like a boxed copy of Pac-Man Collection, please select "Box Upgrade: Yes" at the top of the page before adding Pac-Man Collection to your cart. Our boxes are professionally printed and include a box insert to hold your Pac-Man Collection cartridge in place. We want you to play our games, so we have not sealed or shrinkwrapped the boxes in any way, allowing you easy access to the game cartridge and manual.
These boxes are the same size as boxes Atari produced for their games "back in the day". They look great sitting on a shelf with your other boxed homebrew games, or alongside games from the classic Atari 2600 library. We only have a limited number of boxes for each game, and there is no guarantee they will become available again once our supplies are exhausted. Click on the images to the right to see larger photos of the box.
Includes cartridge and full-color manual. Available in NTSC and PAL television formats. Please specify above when ordering.

PokeyOne sounds excellent, like an 80ies arcade.
No slowdowns, normal or fast gameplay, AI is very well done, and playability/responsivness of controls are top-notch.
Graphics are very close to Arcade-quality.
It%u2019s colourful and bright; it shines.
All-in-all, second-only to endless classic PacMan-maze fun.
Sound (PokeyOne): 9/10
Loved the PLUS options - Pac-Man Plus is like the arcade edition, and some unexpected innovative liberties for a "Ms Pac-Man Plus" added much to gameplay.
The FAST mode is exactly how to make this game challenging. PokeyONE is a nice replacement of POKEY as well.
Thank you much!!
