    • Thanks for noting it. I now recall a previous discussion about existence of two versions of the Arabic 65XE. The rarer version indeed contains the C103579 "130XE" board and the OS ROM in the form of an EPROM with a label.   Could you verify for us if your unit also has the other traits of the "130XE" version? 1. How does the "G" key look like? Does it have one or two additional Arabic characters printed on it? See both keyboard types in this post. 2. What is the part number on your Arabic OS EPROM? It should be "C101700-002C (C) ATARI 1988". It's 480 horizontal lines in NTSC vs. 576 in PAL, and the PAL Atari screen is squished vertically because of that. Hey, that's an older 65XEN board but with the newer version of the Arabic OS. I didn't know such assemblies existed. Where does this photo come from?

    • Couple of things:   int(650/8) * 8 = 648.... so 650 wide is not a valid width you've created a CLUT based object (256c) and only loaded 8 colours you've set it to animate once (after which it will remove itself - this is why you can't see it)
    • Great video this is Slidel. Thank you for sharing this  for us to view and always glad you come by to post with us bro. You do plenty for us here on AtariAge for sure     Anthony..
    • I really liked the random track generation cup in F-Zero X and it's a shame it hasn't been implemented in any subsequent releases. Sure, it perhaps didn't generate the most exciting tracks but it was always still different. And every once in a while there would be a track where all the cpus would fall to their deaths on a sharp corner (and you along with them on the first try). But then you would learn to avoid that the second time and, well, the others wouldn't. And you'd cruise yourself to an easy victory.
    • Ok. 2 system changers. Using M Network Lock and Chase.   Interestingly, both fire the game up immediately but one allows the Intellivision controller to work, the other only works left and right and not up and down.   good one is the first one, dud one is the second one. The dud one has a white cartridge slot.
    • The curve on the trace looks similar to a CR discharge so it may be a capacitive issue. If your recap included soldering in the area of Q2, Q3 & Q4 and you did not do so at the time try using flux cleaner on that area of the PCB as flux residue linking pins can potentially capacitively couple them. If that does not make any difference or you cannot do that, how does the RGB drive signal look on the inputs to to Q3, Q3 & Q4 (check it both ends of R30, R37 & R46 respectively) is it clean or have the slope?
