So this guy came to fix our phone. Since the modem is in here, he came into my room. He noticed the 2600 laying on the floor. So he says "oh, so you're in the retro stuff, huh?" and then he tells this cute story about one Christmas getting an Atari 2600. The three games in the blog title he said were his favorites. He asked me what my favorite games were, I don't really like to pick favorites. They're all good in their own unique way. So hopefully the phone got fixed, he tested it and it's fine, but it may come back. The phone was so horridly staticy we couldn't hear what people were saying when they tried calling us. I wonder what he thought of my Odyssey 2 and Intellivision sitting near the Atari. He didn't mention them. I also didn't mention that there was a Harmony cart in the Atari 2600 and that I design my own games. I don't know why, I guess it would sound too complicated. It is even for me! So it's nice to know that even an average guy who isn't an active retro gamer still knows an Atari when he sees one. He spent a good 90 minutes trying to figure out what was the problem. He first thought it was the phone, then he said it wasn't the phone. Then he said it might be the modem. As it turns out, it may have been the wire going from my room to the kitchen outside. He stapled it to the side of the house, and the phone works ok for now. So that's good.
