Game Gear Madness

Apparently you have to pay a lot on eBay to get the good Game Gear games. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Ristar are going for a little under $10 apiece! And I paid $10 for a pinball game. I like them, but Pinball Dreams is the only pinball game on the Game Gear that isn't Sonic Spinball. It's kind of odd that you can get sports titles for a dime a dozen while the good ones are really expensive. It doesn't make any sense. And you know what? They're listed for $10 probably because they haven't been selling for that high a price. So I guess I'll have to wait if I want those. The only reason I paid $10 for the pinball game is because I've never seen it on eBay before and it was the only listing. So it must be semi-rare. And it came with a case. So the package of 21 Game Gear cases came in the mail yesterday. So now I'm all set for 22 (I still have one from that pack of four I bought earlier) games without their cases. I don't know why I like the system so much. I just wish there was a way to program for it. There is, I've seen Rom-only homebrews for Game Gear emulators, but no cart runs of anything. I guess the Game Gear scene is too small to warrant a way to burn ROMS onto cartridge and then sell them. If I would make a Game Gear homebrew, my first test would be a Fast-Food type game. After all, that was my first thing I did for the Odyssey 2 back a few years ago when I was trying to learn. Plus, I want a way to play homebrews on my actual Game Gear. Would an Everdrive be the way to go? I'm so out of the homebrew scene. I need to google Everdrive. There seems to be one for just about every classic system now for NES and kin and up.
