The Fun Machine

So I went to the video game store again. I wasn't thinking about picking up a N64 game. It just happened. Then I thought. I thought about all the fun times I had reviewing games for myself about the N64. I even had one article in the middle school newspaper where I reviewed N64 games. So I was born to do this. Since then I have made about 30 issues of Nintendo Stuff, a magazine I used to write for myself from 1997-2002. I kinda went crazy over how stupid the Gamecube was so I stopped making them. Then I thought "Why should they have to be about Gamecube games?" By then the Wii had just come out and I made an issue of Nintendo Stuff. The 2005 issue. And then I forgot about it again. And now the Wii-U is out. Nintendo Power ceases publication. And then a few years after the last NP issue I have decided to make "Nintendo Stuff" a monthly thing, but still writing about the N64 and reviewing its games. So why not call it N64 stuff? Just in case I run out and play the last N64 game, that way I can go on to the Gamecube and start on it without it being called "N64 Stuff." I proceeded to get the N64 and its games out and I played a round of Mario Kart 64. After coming in 4th on the first Special Cup track, then 5th, I then made it to 2nd, 1st, and 1st, winning the GP mode. And that was what I did for fun in 1997. And it occurred to me. What was fun in 1997 shouldn't not be fun just because it's 2014 and there are newer and more advanced hardware and consoles. But then, you all knew that already. Issue 1 of the second volume, along with the website, will be online on December 1, 2014. The first issue I had begun work on was dated January 2013. Whoops. So I made all references to 2014 2015 and it should be ready to go by December 1. The second issue will have reviews of the last few N64 titles to grace the console: Power Puff Girls and Razor Pro Scooter (or whatever it's called.) came out @ the Gamecube launch. Tony Hawk 3 was the last ever N64 game released in 2002. And it also occurred to me that I like the N64.
