CD space
I burned a music cd of music I made. As it turned out, the cd had one second left of space. I say that because I once made a Christmas cd compilation that was 79:56. Although I once tried to burn another CD on another computer that was 79:56 and it wouldn't let me, so I had to delete one second worth of the song to make it 79:55. Which brings me to this: Why is it that some computers allow you to burn 79:56 on one CD and only 79:55 on other computers? Or is it the software? I used Nero with this current CD, but I couldn't tell if it would allow an extra second because I didn't have any one-second long songs and the fact that CD tracks have to be a minimum of four seconds long. Which is stupid. I should be able to make a three-second-long song and burn it on a CD if I wanted to. Anyway, what I did was make a CD of me singing 7 eleven-minute long covers of eleven-minute long songs. I had this idea back in like 2010 to do this, but only last night got it done. So the first track sounds totally different than the others. Here's what I included. I doubt anyone cares, though. I put "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone," "The End," "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands," "Bullet," "Pigs (Three Different Ones)," "The Calling (Ambient Mix)," and "The Horrible Fanfare/Landslide/Exoskeleton". on it. That last one's original version was only about 10.5 minutes long, so I extended it to make it 11:07. As it turned out if I had made it longer, it wouldn't have fit on the CD. And now I have started putting dates on my CDs. I made a lot of music a long time ago and then wonder when it was made. I want to make a second one, but don't have any ideas for songs that are 11-minutes long. I can't do Waka/Jawaka by Frank Zappa because it's too complicated. I need a simpler song. Anyway, I also once did a cover of the whole Dark Side of the Moon album. But all my music is crappy I think because I can't sing and can't play the piano all that well for what is required to do these songs. I am fine if I am making my own music, but it's just something that happens when I try to play other people's music. And apparently I am babbling again so I think I'll quit.
