NES Remix Pack woes.

I got two Wii-U games for Christmas: "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker", and "NES Remix Pack." I talked a little about Captain Toad in the Captain Toad thread, but I want to talk about NES Remix here. Is it just me or is the response time from the controller off? In the reverse SMB with Luigi, I seem to press a button and then a half-second later he jumps instead of right away. Naturally this causes me to be unable to finish the game (because of the tricky, must be timed perfectly jumps in 8-1.) This game is really hard. Of course I think that of all the games I don't make. Anyway, the game I did play most of was SMB. The game is like a Wario-Ware type game, it's certain tasks you have to complete in a certain amount of time (like 10 seconds.) And all these tasks take place in certain NES games. Like there's a level devoted to ExciteBike. There's 6 to choose from once you complete the first chore, and I would hope more games pop up once you get deeper in the game. I also have another question about Wii-U games. I had a hard time getting the disc out and as it turned out, it made a few fingerprints on the disc. I guess I ate too much greasy foods before deciding to play. Would this hurt a disc over time? I think I made it pristine again by wiping it away with my shirt, but it just seems odd because most other disc games I don't do that to. I got a new hour-long song for Christmas, and I'm listening to "Thaumogenesis" by a band called Nadja. It's a lot like Sleep, except for the first five minutes which was really pretty. I got a lot of stuff, actually, and I have a new 2015 calendar about bacon to hang on my wall. I love bacon, but I don't eat it very often.

Got this one for my son and I'm a little disappointed as I thought it was all of the NES games, not just Wario-Ware challenges (good comparison). Reverse SMB is kinda cool, but if I'da known beforehand I woulda gotten Captain Toad instead. (Of course, if I'd done some research I would have found this out before it got bought.)

So I've put a hold on Lego Batman Wii at the library so I can install an NES emulator and play the actual games (see wiiubrew.org).

The delay might be lag due to your TV (and/or A/V receiver if you have one between the WiiU & the TV). However, the emulator also might have some lag too. My son plays using the screen on the gamepad, and I see some lag there too (which isn't surprising given the video has to be sent over it's Wi-Fi connection).
