Omega Race

Omega Race is a game where you bounce an Asteroids-like spaceship around the screen and try to shoot at beetles and stuff while hoping your ship doesn't crash into them. Or something. At least that's the impression I got. Especially when it didn't come with a manual. I had the Atari 2600 cart but I apparently needed a booster controller add-on to play it. But I realized that the title looked familiar but I couldn't place it. Anyway, the Commodore 64 version is better. You can play it with a regular joystick or the keyboard, or even paddles. And you can change the colors also. I made red characters on a green background for the Christmas look. So yeah. I ordered Clowns and Radar Rat Race off of eBay. So if they work that's what will be next on the Commodore 64 blog entry category. I also got a Commodore 64 tape player. I don't know how to use it. I don't have a tape to go with it. Any help would be appreciated. I found out that the disk player is indeed broken. Looking at the Frogmaster attract screen, I bet if I knew the gameplay that I could program this for the Oric. That's how simple it looks. But then I would have to relearn how to reshape letters into sprites.

When I was younger I dropped more quarters into this game than I'll ever admit to. I was kind of bummed out that a version could not be made for the TI-99/4A.

Why couldn't it be made? I thought the TI-99/4A used the same video chip as the ColecoVision, which has a version of Omega Race.
