Special bug moves

I decided it was time to work on Insecticide some more. I guess I should work on it more than once a month. Anyway, this update involves the bugs' special moves. Instead of pressing B to do them, I put them in a series of 4 button presses. The button presses are made with the right directional pad (as opposed to the left one, which moves the insect around left and right.) Once the fourth press is made, the special move is executed. Each bug has a different sequence, so remembering your favorite fighter's special move sequence is good. Right now the game is 4 Megabits. I am wondering if I can change it to 2. I know how, I'm just wondering if I have enough room to do so. I really guess I should work on IC more often than once a month. I made a test run with Gi-Ant. I first couldn't see the insects. A few tweaks to levels later, I was able to see them. The game works well on real hardware. I am impressed with myself on how I did this (with help.) But while it still doesn't match every other single-player fighting games, and it will never, I like it. And that's what counts. And I don't like fighting games. I don't know why I chose Insect Combat, though. The other idea for a fighter was a parody of fighting games called "Super Highway Fighter", where you're fighting on a highway and sometimes a big truck zooms by and you can die if it hits you. But in the end, though, I'm glad I chose the insects over that. Insects are easier to draw than people. Anyway, I doubt I can finish this game in time for the VB's 20th anniversary (sometime in August), so I hope to have it released in 2016. I backed up all the necessary files in case the computer I use to make the game dies. They're all on a CD. But after working on this game for about 6 years (it's been that long?! 2009 was 6 years ago! But it's been mostly off instead of off and on) and once I finish this game, I don't know what to do next. I want to make a platform game. I wonder if I can. If I do, don't expect it until 2021.
