My thoughts on Super Mario Maker
When I was a kid, I designed my own Mario games on paper. But now that I have Mario Maker, it seems a little...underwhelming. The box says you can make levels from Super Mario Bros. 3. But I can't. You have to wait god knows how long before you can do that. I already know how to use the stupid level editor. Let me get to the SMB3 stuff, please. I don't need to know any more. I guess Nintendo overestimated the stupidity of people. It says on Tuesday, I can create water levels. Whoopee. I WANT TO MAKE SMB3 LEVELS! Not waste my time making piddling SMB levels. I'll probably run out of room on my 8GB Wii-U before I can make SMB3 games. I wonder if I can move the game data and levels to a USB card. I played this game for two hours and made four levels. That should be enough stupid "tutorial time" to let me unlock stuff. So this is why I make my SMB levels really short, the default length. Another thing that bothers me is you can't play the levels you made one right after another. Why not? And apparently they even took liberties with the SMB stuff. I don't remember enemies coming out of ? blocks or getting to ride Lakitu's cloud in the original Super Mario Bros. game. As much as I love the original SMB, I would like a little more variety now that I spent two hours on it.
