Switch!
So I went along with Mom to go get a whole bunch more of those Boost drinks she's been drinking. I stopped at the electronics just thinking I would see an empty Switch display, but to my surprise, they had two Switches in! So I bought one and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I probably won't be able to go anywhere this weekend because of the dumb eclipse, so I guess I'll have to be content with MK8D for now.
Setup was easy, I disabled the internet connection so hopefully I won't have to get any annoying updates for now. There's no instruction manual, so I'm still don't know how to recharge the controllers. I'd like to turn it off, but I didn't know how to do that, so it's in sleep mode. Looking at the Switch main menu, there is no instruction manual provided. I had a hard time putting the screen into the compartment to play it on the TV (Yes, I like to play stuff on my TV. Call me weird.) But I finally got it working.
I don't know why they didn't just make Mario Kart 9 and instead rerelease a game already on the Wii-U. Seems kind of dumb to me. I just had to squish this butterfly-sized moth. It was really icky and I needed to wash my hands afterwards. The game cards are 3DS-cartridge-sized. I was expecting a big huge cartridge like they used to, but no. It's a card. I'm kind of depressed there was no book for it. HOW DO I CHARGE THE CONTROLLERS?
