MiniMiniMiniMinijupe

Hi there!

Since r_type2600 mentioned "Eisbär" last week, I thought it'd make sense to dig out another early work of Stephan Eicher for you. The "Noise Boys" tape was recorded on just a standard cassette recorder and it's pure genious. It's been made available as bonus tracks on the CD version of Eichers debut album "La Chanson Bleue", a total must have. Anyway, here is MiniMiniMiniMinijupe (plus an easter egg ;)):

Thanks for the link, didn't know much about that "Grauzone" singer. The song is pretty avantgarde for the time, but I don't think it aged that well....

And the singer seems to have gone through a funny metamorphosis in latter years - looks like he was trying hard to copy Michael Bolton (ok, that was in the 90's )

Here's a song that kept all his vibe: Fels in der Brandung

And here's another timeless one from a badly missed poet genius, written in 92' :

Like most of his texts and interpretations, it works on several layers and hits the nail on the head...

Little known gem, but has generated quite a few cover versions: Unknown cover artist (Lost)

He turned more and more into a Chansonnier over the years. His early stuff absolutely rules though:

(Avoid when you're lovesick, it can kill you...)

Nah... that's a far cry from the immortal original version. Witt is still a favorite though, especially live ;)

Falco lives! ;)
