3D engine for PC, PCxt

Hi folks

First, merry christmas and happy new year for all the Atari Age members and visitors (or guests).

I have a spare time to work today. I'm working something different this time unstead always working on AGI games. I begun this project in 2002.

Engine 3D

This is the engine 3D for old computer (PC, PCxt, jr, Tandy 1000) in CGA written in QuickBasic. Right now, you don't do anything but walking around the maze.

My 3D engine will work like the most 80s games like Questron 2, Legacy of the ancient. They have the similar engine in the 3D part. In my 3D engine, the player can walk forward, backward and turn left or right in 90 degree.

This is the older version of my engine. The main game is bigger but the back-

ground is drawn with lines and circles makes the whole screen to flickering when

walking. The newest version has smaller whole screen but it uses sprites unstead.

Some people think I'm crazy because I work on CGA but some people

still work on 2600 or even on C64 today. My first computer was a PCjr. Only few companies add a PCjr mode on their games. Most of time, I select CGA to play

some games. QuickBasic does not support PCjr mode so I work on CGA.

If everything works well, I'll add some enemies to shoot to my 3D game.

Note: my favorite 2600 homebrew game is Cave1k. Simple to learn how to play,

hard to it down.
