  2. I only played Maken X and Out Trigger. I tried Maken X a little (as a demo?) then bought it later on a whim, out of curiosity mainly, when the Dreamcast was probably already dead. But I never went far; it was too hard for me (the locking system is indeed difficult to master as said in the video) and I probably just moved on to something else. It's very original though. And Out Trigger is typically the kind of game my brother and I got because it was made by SEGA, but it was a very shallow arcade game - at least as a solo experience, and we were never fond of competitive multiplayer games anyway. I'm not even sure I tried the online play. Maybe once.
  3. The last 1.1 version is the one i just posted here, but it could be interesting if there are differences on menu with the 1.0 NTSC versions you can find here: https://github.com/aotta/PiRTO/tree/main/Binaries
  4. Do we know the SRAM part number(s), the datasheet should have the default value in it?
  5. Thanks @chue I added this TI-BASIC result to the list in the first entry of the thread. I wonder if this could be compiled ???
  6. I'm actually starting a re order of all the 7800 games and accessories as demand has been strong. Maybe the french will take a few hundred extension cables this time around!
  7. YOU GO! @Plumbob that’s the way to do it! Why be indoors on a nice day playing Atari when you could be outside playing Atari! Lol! I’ll sit outside on my deck at times playing games. Have fun! plumbob
  8. Been playing some more burned(copied) games today to narrow my buy original list down. Played...Power Spikes 2, it's ok the controls take getting used to thou. Won't be buying the original League Bowling was great fun, thou limited gameplay for 1 player because of no CPU opponent. Maybe buy an original Super Sidekicks 2 is more polished than Super Sidekicks, thou I prefer the original. Better gameplay and easier controls in my opinion...
  9. Not if you load the main program, closer to the vector. ...Better, perhaps in terms of writing flexibility/running in alternate environments, though wasteful of space.
  10. Air Raiders could qualify for RTFM. For someone playing without RTFM might not ever know you can land your plane refuel and take off again! In order to land you have to at least have shot down 10 enemy aircraft be at an altitude of 00 for 4 seconds and a runway will appear. One of my favorite games from way back!
  11. Ok let me try this which firmware do you suggest? link please.... so i dont make a mistake then i will send you a video of the progress...Thanks Sanman
  12. Sorry to hear you have trouble with that sound. Let me assure you that I put LOTS of efforts in time into that subproject to make it somewhat believable, and I still believe it to be one of the most valuable additions to MAME. For more detail, see the explanations on https://www.ninerpedia.org/wiki/MAME_Floppy_sound_emulation. The sound in UAE was one of the features that made me interested in emulation, and was one of my dreams to realize in MAME. That said, I know the sounds are not liked by everyone, but frankly speaking, what I do have some trouble with is when people treat it like some nuisance or impertinence when it just suffices to ask whether there is a way to turn the sounds off or to lower their volume. You can turn down the volume in the Sliders menu. (Sorry if I react a bit harshly, but you're not the first one, and I seem not getting used to that over time.)
  13. The weather is absolutely beautiful today and so I want to be outside as much as possible. So I’m out in the garage playing my Atari instead of doing the laundry in the basement. I’m playing Astroids, difficulty set to “A”, game select 17. I’m not really that good at the game as you can see but I’m having fun and that’s what it’s all about, right?
  14. The King is dead. Rest in peace, my lord. Who's up for watching Two Towers tonight?

  15. Line 771 exists, so if it got deleted that suggests something is going wrong with your session. Which version of XB is that?
  16. Hey, thanks! Expect the 10-year-list this month! I'm not sure how much I will be around in the future though. 🤷‍♂️ Other than having had an Atari 800XL, playing Atari Jaguar at a friends place and buying the Atari50 collection for Switch, my connection to the scene is not that strong.
  17. Thought I'd follow up with some new info and another question... First, I believe the sawtooth type wave on 12V is as designed, basically a power savings feature (?) to only draw power recharge caps to maintain 12V and then cut power. It does look like the suspected SW-5V signal is an input to the supply board from the video board. I verified all power signals are good 12V, 5V, 3.3V are all stable when switched on and flat when off. I confirmed i2c is working with reads from the serial EEPROM. With the scope connected to VGA input I can see H and V sync signals coming from U32 which feeds the LCD panel. Clocks look good. So now I'm looking at the video inverter board as a possible problem, but the service manual only mentions checking it and doesn't provide and I didn't see any details on exactly what it is. Does anyone know details on the video power inverter board? I've tried to aim a light at the display to see if there is an image, just without backlight but I couldn't see anything. I also can't bring up the menu so I'm not sure if there's a problem with the settings data on the EEPROM. I read the eprom, and data looks promising, I just don't know what should be there. Is there any way to reset the system back to factory settings?
  18. Yes the file manager is not so good and if you press S-E or S-W instead of a clear S on disk it may crash the files list, so you should press "clear" button to reload the root. But the garbages you shown in the video are a different issue, and it's very strange to me you got same behaviours with both the last firmware i posted here (are you sure you tested it? did you download it from my github? i didn't publish it here before yesterday!) and the one used by 5-1under at first. They use a different timing and bus management, so i expected differents output (and that the last worked also for you, to be honest).
  19. i decided to delete everything, including cygwin and downloaded the latest version from whtech, and reinstalled cyqwin64 and then setup the path variable manually in my computer, and ran the mameprep_cygwin script, after installing the latest wget and unzip packages, and at least it finally ran without errors and made a folder on my desktop with some batch files, and i can launch both ti99evh and geneve from those without any weird video and mouse problems now. here is a new video i made, all tho atariage is back again wiping out my uploaded videos after a couple of hours, for some weird reason. now i just have to figure out how to config the two systems the way i want with the modules and software i want to use, and how in the hell to i disable that horrible disk drive sound, it is hurting my ears! media-20240505-145745-3703_fixed.mp4

  21. Oh ok. What a bunch of idiots 🤬 . Who wouldn't want a quality extension cable with the Atari logo to go with a brand new Atari CX40 ? 🤔 Now I'll have to buy one of those chinese crappy cables 😟
  22. I'm not 😂 Just a sneak peak while I'm still on the road with 2 more trains to go ( another 3 hours of travel ) One of the 88 pictures I took Really need to start looking into creating my thecell.ar blog/webpage.
