  1. Past hour
  2. Are my eyes deceiving me, perhaps an optical illusion. But that CPM card looks huge, and greatly unpopulated. Was there a reason for this, because it sure looks like it could be condensed down to a third of its present size. This would also impact the PCB manufacture cost and perhaps the shipping as well.
  3. Not sure that this fits here, but I came across this printout of the XL Parallel bus: Almost forgot to add... NOT means normally low DavidMil XL Parallel Expansion Bus.pdf
  4. Well, that would be "Welcome back...".
  5. Reissue Midnight Mutants for the 7800. Atari owns this game already. If "Grampa" being in the game is too much to re-license, then just pay an Atari 7800 programming enthusiast to change all references of Grampa to a new name and change the graphic of the character slightly to a more generic Dracula. Do you see what this game is going for on eBay? There is definitely demand for this game! Also, it's cool that this is an Atari 7800 exclusive game. https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=702
  6. I got a Saroo card on eBay, and I have my own 512GB Micro SD card. My seller on eBay sent me a file to "flash it myself" since I didn't buy a 32 GB card. I don't have a PC so I can't follow the normal instructions. I have a Mac Mini M2 and a Motorola One Ace 5G Android as my computing devicesI. got my file stored in an email unprocessed on my Moto. What would be the best way to prepare the SD card, and how do I flash it for Sega Saturn Saroo?
  7. Looks like a nice machine and peripherals. pop open the 1027 and look at the print head, if it is good it needs to be sent to someone for measuring and re creation. The tape player may need belts. The drive may need a clean and lube. Welcome back to the club!
  8. I've noticed the same thing. I'm finding that the "E" is near impossible to get unless you plunge the ball just right and get lucky. I think getting A-C-E twice consistently may only be practical if you're playing more than one ball. I'm also finding that there is little point in trying to aim for anything with the flippers. Sometimes the tip of the flipper hits the spinner. Other times, it hits one of the banks of targets. There is little to no consistency, even when trapping the ball. I've found it's usually best to just flip as soon as the ball comes into contact with the flipper.
  9. Just ask or call them, they will sell you one. You can use the ebay contact system or https://www.myatari.com/
  10. I had been looking at easing back into the 8bit Atari scene for a while and when this popped up on Ebay. The seller says it was all stored in an attic and probably doesn't have more than 20 or so hours use on it. When they sent me a discounted offer...I took it. I got everything in the picture for $199.00. Whatcha think? PS Assuming it all works, I guess an Incognito would be a good route to take?
  11. He should have called it the "Intellivision HQ Liquid Lunch Tour."
  12. My exploration of PC-Mode continues with Battlezone: Gold Edition (2018).  Played on a stock 8 GB Atari VCS on Steam via ChimeraOS.  It feels good to play Battlezone on an Atari. Rebellion did a fine job with this re-imagined version. On sale now for $3.84 on Steam. I couldn't resist.

  13. It took me a while, but I finally have all -3- of the Ishar series for the ST. I love RPG's and never had the opportunity "back in the day" to play this particular series. I did dabble around with the Ishar versions for the Falcon. I'm looking forward to doing a play through. I don't remember it from before but the game boxes say both the Amiga and ST versions have 32 colors. Onward and forward...!
  14. Today
  15. Right. One dedicated cable goes directly to the ST's serial port. The others have the jacks that plug directly into the DC-Port. The docs emphasize *not* plugging phone lines directly into it. Then you plug your RS-232 devices into the connectors at the end of those lines. Modems, WiModem232's, etc. You can see the cables in the pictures I posted. HTH's.
  16. Censor a little fowl language and the post gets closed.

  18. I have the ZIP archive of the DC-Port disk. It includes the AUTO folder with the programs in it. I'll attach it here. DC Port Disk.zip

  20. Yeah, when I said "lift" I really meant extract and use the content and layout as the basis for a close facsimile (e.g., during prototyping it may simply be a crude, lossy, conversion). That's my preference, and the images you show are more in line with what I imagined - and I am not, personally, likely to be able to do nearly as good a job. That's very generous, and much appreciated! I'll post some of my basic ideas etc. once I put the "blog" up. I am thinking of this as more of an inspired adaptation/play-a-like than a direct "port". For example, I have different ideas about how to tackle the hunting and river crossing sub-games, some specific thoughts on how trading will work and what the UX will be for that, a desire to make it a 100% "10 foot" experience (no need for a keyboard, can be played from the couch with a joystick), and so on. More to come ...
  21. Easy to build a new one. You can just wire up a bunch of 1% resistors in the right pattern to the PIO connector.
  22. I had a Digi-Port in the 90's but did not find much use for it back then. It got lost in a move and did not really miss it. Until now 😄
