I reached out to Harald and asked him about releasing the source code to bank 7 for the updated PDMA cards. He has graciously posted the files to the SNUG site for interested. If you see a matrix of numbers, click the yellow highlighted one. https://s-n-u-g.de/ascsi/index_en.php

Yeah its probably up there with the most unintuitive games I've ever played, but refer to the manual as you play and it's fun.

Speaking of JoyCons, I suggest that you look into the GameCube-style ones.

FS: C64 Replacement RF Modulator by Matt Barszcz
eightbit replied to eightbit's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Its a "SixtyClone", a modern clone of the C64. The mission is/was to build a C64 with mostly modern parts. I am waiting for a "J-CPU" which is a modern replacement of the 6510. Right now there's a 6502 on a custom board taking its place This is an earlier picture before I sourced and added the cartridge shield. -

FS: C64 Replacement RF Modulator by Matt Barszcz
wongojack replied to eightbit's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
You find the coolest stuff! Are those pictures of your C64? Looks like a modern motherboard. Is it an Ultimate 64? -
Same here... i think i have all your books. At least the ones i'm avare of.😀

This is a drop in RF replacement for the C64 (boards 250466, 250469, 250425, 250407) suitable for both PAL and NTSC VIC-II chips. For those wondering why you would replace the RF modulator, well you would do it to obtain a cleaner picture on composite or s-video. The RF modulator (even if you are not using RF) needs to be present for any video to function in a C64, so it is popular to replace the old RF box with something like this for a much better picture. It comes with the box and user guide and well as build guide. The picture of it plugged into my red Sixtyclone board is for reference to show you what it would look like installed. No Sixtyclone board included There are chroma and luma potentiometers on the board for fine tuning the s-video output. It provides adjustable luma and chroma output potentiometers to fine-tune the S-video signal. Just like the LumaFix64. Thus, the device can theoretically help reduce or eliminate the vertical lines or checker patterns artifacts. It should be noted that composite video output remains at a fixed outout level regardless of the position of the luma and chroma potentiometers. It is not compatible with early 326298-01 boards with the five pin AV Output. I have been using it and it works fine with my setup, however the pot adjustments do not work for me as I am using a Kawari VIC-II replacement, so it seemed like a waste. They will work with real VIC-II chips. So, I replaced this with a simpler model with no pot adjustments. Selling for exactly what I paid, $29 shipped. PM if you want it!

Ha, yeah just for fun I tried to play without reading the manual. I just stood there repeatedly hitting the ball the wrong way directly into a "wall". I could not figure out how to hit it toward the green. Thankfully the manual explained!

Food Fight (by Mega Cat Studios) - (in VCS Store) (VCS EXCLUSIVE)
Atari_JaguarVCS replied to PowerDubs's topic in Atari VCS
It seems like there going in the right direction with the game for sure! I didn't really have to many issues with the game myself, i thought it was pretty good for what it is but it's nice to see it's still going to be getting the update treatment and hasn't been abandoned. It's just a shame that it can be tricky to find a match online these day's with the Atari VCS 800 being a US only console the user base is still small which makes it difficult to get the most out of Food Fight. I would love to see cross platform play added when it releases on the other platforms, it'll be a much more fun experience.- 53 replies

What Atari 2600/7800 game have you been playing the most today?
MrChickenz replied to shane857's topic in Atari 2600+
HAVE YOU PLAYED ATARI TODAY! Todays game is FIGHT NIGHT for the 7800 on the 2600+ This is one of my favorites from way back! I owned this on my Commodore 128. That I purchased from Crazy Eddies! I only recently picked up the 7800 version and it’s just as good as the commodore version was. The controls are different from what you would expect from a standard Boxing game. But if you take the time to play it’s as good as any Boxing game. Ronald and Nancy Reagan even stop by for Fight Night! And you get to Fight Mike Bison! The guy on the floor is me. But I’m getting right back in the ring And when I flip the Color switch to B/W I get Hi Resolution Graphics! Lol! Objective: Take a guess! -
Here is the proper version of the 3D Asteroids demo and Space Race. Both were programmed by John Seghers as demo programs. Space Race was his first program, he did it to help him learn how to program the 5200. Asteroids was his answer to the 7800 version, proving that the 5200 could do rotating asteroids as well. 3D Asteroids Demo (Proper).bin Space Race.bin

Is anyone else having problems loading the 80-column version of DM2K in MAME (with the EVPC card installed)? It will load fine from the 80-column MENU as a program image file but stops after DM2K82 to a blank, blue screen from the F'WEB utility program image loader. If I dump the files to a disk drive (ex., DSK9 ) and load it from there using the F'WEB program image file loader, it loads fine. The 40-column version loads fine from the utility loader. This has become a real puzzler!

According to the interview Garry Kitchen had with Jon of Gen X Grown-Up recently, Garry and David Crane started Audacity. Dan Kitchen came on board shortly thereafter. I wonder what Steve Kitchen is up to these days. Garry Kitchen also said that Audacity might have an announcement at CORGSCON on June 1st. My guess is that the announcement is in relation to a cartridge release of Alien Abduction, but it could be about Casey's Gold.

I still use a real C64 and have quite a few cartridges from Atari, including Moon Patrol🤗 But on the C64 I usually play Roms from my Kungfuflash and buy new games as Roms 😊 Once flashed, the game starts immediately and changing cartridges on the C64 is not very handy. On the Atari I love to insert cartridges, therefore the 2600+ will replace my old consoles one day but I keep my cartridges forever🤙 Roms are interesting for my tablet only, e.g. when travelling😊
