  3. The corrosion looks worse in this picture. C77 & C78 can be removed permanently as they sit across the DATA IN and DATA OUT of the SIO and are often removed to increase SIO speed. C77 sits across SIO DATA IN and looks bad so may have caused your previous problem. The others are more involved with the joystick ports.
  4. Erm, after looking at what Yopaz is doing in terms of filenames being passed, etc, it looks to be complete gibberish data. I have no idea how this is working on a physical Memory Track, if it does, but it looks very broken.
  5. Off - on topic Regarding the name of that new Lynx title , it remains a mystery, I think I got a picture from it and even a sticker but I cannot decipher what the name was. The author is still keeping it secret also so I will too https://forums.atariage.com/topic/362861-gemtos-2024-a-mystery-limited-exclusive-release-is-coming-but-preorder-is-possible/#comment-5462323
  6. Will it be easy for Oscar to port CVBasic to SG-3000 / SEGA Master System (in the future) ? It will be so incredible to code in basic using features of this great console.
  7. Oddly, no problems for me. If I play for a bit and save, I get exactly the same file as you, no progress saved? If I reload and go back I have to start from level 1 again. So I'm not entirely sure how saving is supposed to work or what it saves...

  9. Dear, I am releasing another version of the design adapted to moulded enclosures. In addition, you can decide whether you want the reset button from the top or the front. The gerber files and the design in KiCad are attached at the bottom. Also, I am attaching PDF files with the labels I designed in the ‘brown 400/800’ and ‘gray XL’ versions. I hope you like it At the same time I encourage the community, as we did on the Polish forum atari.area, to place collective orders for PCBs. If one person collects orders for e.g. 10-20 boards, then with equal sharing of production and shipping costs, it comes out to about 2.5 USD per piece (gold-plated ENIG) for a person interested in DIY. Order together with people from the same city/country, of course. Why generate extra shipping/duty/taxes and CO2 costs In summary, ordering the Pico purple clone for $2, the total cost together with the moulded case, when self-assembled (difficulty level: beginner) should be less than 15USD (shipping costs of components included). Statement. I do not manufacture, sell or order the boards. I encourage interested people to work collectively. No, I am not a communist A8PicoCart-PM-gerber-v1.2.zip label-brown.pdf label-gray.pdf A8PicoCart-PM-v1.2.zip
  10. Yeah, there are the occasional games that do make it to Mac, but it’s still a fraction of what’s on PC. Steamdeck is unique in all of this. I count it more of a console than a PC. And as cool as it is, you don’t get 100% compatibility with your entire steam library. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with Mac or Linux. I’ve used all of them and they each have their advantages and drawbacks. The biggest drawback for those platforms is that they do not have enough market share in the home computer space to be treated as anything other than fringe platforms. Would it be great if Atari/Plaion could support every platform out there for updating the plus? Of course. I just don’t think it’s realistic to expect them to do so.
  11. Canada post already sucks now they are thinking of doing mail only every 2 or 3 days. https://toronto.citynews.ca/2024/05/07/canada-post-exploring-cutting-daily-delivery/
  12. All I know is I sold one on eBay and the guy likes the way it works so I'm satisfied. It didn't work in my Super Pro even though my SPS has the Intellivision II EXEC chip in it.
  13. I have a high score post on the Intellivision Invasion Facebook Group for these games. I have collected all the posted scores that I could find. https://m.facebook.com/groups/intellivisioninvasion/permalink/7540973049289554/?mibextid=S66gvF
  14. Keep trying, sometimes it takes 5 or 10 attempts to load those two games. I know what the problem is, but not why it’s happening or how to fix it as yet.
  15. I thought so! Thanks @Blitzer1001 for the confirmation! Well then, by the numbers...
  16. I used deluxe paint for hours back in the day. I never had any problems or stability issues that I can recall. Used on 520/1040 STfm.
  17. I might. next time i go to storage, maybe next week, i am going to look through my atari stuff
  18. Does anyone know if there is a 7800 emulator that will run on the RG350. The RG350 is a pretty popular handheld emulation system made by Anbernic running Dingux.
  19. I've been working toward this incrementally. One of the issues has been reliability of save states, as Altirra has a lot of internal state for accuracy reasons, and it's only recently that save states have been somewhat reliable. Things get pretty sticky in situations like saving in the middle of an instruction, or during a disk load. It's a bit better now that there's support for trying to save at a nice point (first instruction in vblank) and flagging "unsafe" times like disk operations. But there are still cases that are not handled, like some devices that don't support save states, or rolling back across a disk write. If you spot an issue with save states, do let me know as a rewind mechanism would be built on top of it. You can key-bind the save/load quick state commands, which will give you one level of manual rewind. As Kr0tki notes, the Hue Step slider is equivalent to the color pot. This includes the wonky behavior of the PAL GTIA encoder. Of course, Altirra won't be able to emulate the awkwardness of trying to live trim a pot that's exposed on the bottom of the computer, particularly if you are bold enough to use a metal screwdriver on a powered computer. This would be possible, though it'd be emulating a pretty poor monitor. The only visibly long persistence monitor I've ever used was the Apple Monitor ///, and even that wasn't that visible. Yeah, I know you've asked about this before. I'm not opposed to it, but it needs some work. Altirra's internal sound effect system is limited to a small preset sound bank of samples pre-resampled to the internal mixing rate (63.9KHz), that would need to be made for flexible. Printing is definitely one I've thought about, though some work would be needed just to emulate better print timing and output. The 820 is a particularly interesting case because its timing isn't entirely firmware driven, it's also determined by a timing roller driven by a motor, so I don't actually know how fast it prints. The 1020 and 1025 are a little better defined and I've partially disassembled the firmware for the latter (8051... bleh). I'm a little surprised that no one has commented on the phone network sound emulation only supporting US dialing sounds, but perhaps there aren't enough people who used modems.... This also reminds me that I need to check the sound of the Atari 400 internal speaker, to see if it's appreciably different than the 800 and needs a different impulse. I have a 400, just can't be bothered to hook it up half the time because it only has a fricking RF output. This one I'm not sure about, as it effectively would just be patching the OS ROM. Probably would be better to have a ROM patching tool to create customized ROM images than to add a feature specifically for the character set. Feedback and testing are awesome, as always. Ooh, interesting, I didn't know that Pole Position did this. Easy enough to add the separate NTSC/PAL colors to the reference table, but this is quite an interesting reference since the PAL colors are relatively constrained. This is a much better reference for what contemporary colors were seen at the time than hand-wavy anecdotes about "green", "blue", and "gold" colors.
  20. Just updated. Hoverstrike works though I did have it hang one time. VidGrid and World Tour Racing, no issues. However, Blue Lightning and Battlemorph no longer work. Just get a black screen after the Atari screen. They were working previously. I already tried reformatting the card and recopying everything back to it. Mitch
  21. 😆 Very true - consider this as an extra challenge.
