  1. Past hour
  2. Well that's your narrow view and opinion, but if you had work along side him like I did and see how he operate and was able to complete tasks that were needed, you would have different opinion.
  3. I'd like to see a port of Gremlins from the 5200 on the 7800. As for a re-issue of an old game, Pengo for the 2600. For a new game, maybe have a vector style graphics space shooter on the 2600/7800.
  4. Some updated Warlords game for 4 players using paddles.
  5. I've been playing this a lot recently and its just sublime. I have a email in my drafts for Capcom on this, but I keep avoiding sending it because I cant face the probable rejection.
  6. I once criticised my sister as being a fence sitter, but I find myself comfortably sitting next to her just now. Code reviews, I've done one or two, my worst though was a guy who kept saying "that's just an opinion" until I asked "what if..." and he shut up. I can't read all code though, and I kind of hate C++ and the black box it often comes with (C - I have no issues with). Comments or not, if it's put out there, I'm kind of grateful.
  7. I have noticed something kind of amusing about humans evaluating AI over the last 7 years or so. Everybody here was aware of the term "AI", 40ish years ago. It was mostly a handful of very restricted programs like Eliza or Shrdlu that were more parlour tricks than intelligence. People said things like "A computer will never beat a grandmaster at chess" Then came Deep Blue in 1998 (?) In 2010 the worlds greatest Jeopardy champions were bested. "Yes but a computer will never beat a human at GO" Deepmind's Alpha GO put that one to rest in 2018 (?) "LLMs do poorly on IQ tests" In 2023 they scored about the same as the average college entrant. In 2024 they score better than 90% of college entrants. I think Claude's IQ is currently 155. (Just a tiny bit higher than mine. ok maybe a lot higher) "Ya but LLMs suck at writing code" OK, wait 6 months ... (That could be much longer for TI-99. We gotta publish more training code! ) Goal posts have been moving. I see exponential change. I think Kurzweil has a good chance of being right. (again) AGI, end of the decade. But I could be wrong. Ask my wife.
  8. Sorry, for the autoconfig, this one is actually not the assets directory, but the joypad_autoconfig_dir
  9. Hi. Just translated it for ease: " Good morning everyone! Since I'm not receiving any responses from CharlieChaplin... may I have more information about entering the ABBUC competition? I would like to thank anyone in advance who would give me an answer" So FYI the 2023 contest is obviously been and gone The 2024 compy is here:
  10. 1. I would like to see 1942, the port for 7800 is fantastic. 2. I think one of the greatest assets of 2600+ are paddle games. Breakout and Super Breakout at a bit simplistic. I would like to see some for 7800. Arkanoid? Krakout?
  11. It's self-inflicted. His asking for a Mac update solution for the 2600+ really has nothing to do with it, there have been dozens of other users here asking for the same, just not in the way he asked for it. It is. This has been stated multiple times already by the development team. Continuing to ask for it when the question has already been answered is part of why Sean gets the reactions he does. Not sure who sold you that but it wasn't anyone here on this forum, and there really isn't anything in Atari's official marketing of this product that would have given you this false impression. But if you've been paying attention to why people like Sean get a negative reaction here, part if it is because of commentary like this ^^. This is an Atari discussion forum. It's not a Yelp! review site where you're encouraged to trash the product for internet points. Most people here don't take kindly to brand new users showing up with an aggressive take on Atari products, since these forums are supposed to be for discussion.
  12. Als ich in Schottland Radfahren war, waren die alle total nett. Ganz anders als wir Deutschen.
  13. How about a shooter like Armed Police Batrider or Sky Force!
  14. Please give me examples of this including a photo of the screen showing the QR code and link.
  15. The PAL game I bought should arrive by 5/10 but it could be sooner. Also, I got another game. This is one is NTSC. That one should arrive within a few days.
  16. The only thing I can think is that it's a QR code reader inserting adverts, it's absolutely impossible for the QR code generation to randomly send you to other sites.
  17. I believe some amazing new hobby release like Wilf would be a really nice puzzle game with a cute main character - a worm. The current demo already works on the 2600+. The game has a bit of British humour in it. This is a game I would buy myself. More fun than just a platformer or a shmup.
  18. For multi .bin games I tried using the Krikzz bin merge tool. It made one .bin file, but those games did not convert even after the .bin merge.
  19. me too..i tried 3 times to get the correct link..try again
  20. Can you link the Amazon listing(s) for the materials you used? This could be a fun project to follow your lead on.
  21. SainT, I did not get a 404 message from the bogus QR code readings. The scan took me to other sites.
  22. Would love to see all the M-Network games that were finished but not released get out. Bonus points if the carts and boxes look like they did back then.
  23. I'd like to see re-issues of Mario Bros., Joust, Dig Dug, Galaga for 7800.
