  1. Past hour
  2. Atari sold a Mega2 ST with 2 MB of RAM and a Mega4 ST with 4 MB. Both use the same logic board, but half of the RAM chip locations are empty of the Mega2 ST. Have you looked at your logic board.
  3. Oh nice! I'll look into those. Here's what the cart will look like. I could either put text on the space, or have a sticker done up. Plan on printing one tomorrow and seeing if I need to make any adjustments.
  4. Got it, thank you. I just don't know what the 1200XL navigation listed is for, do you mean if you press Shift-F1 on the 1200XL it's supposed to send a PageUp? I figure your project deserves this.
  5. Here's the .ATR image to try. Does anyone know what the SDRIVERF.COM version is? It was on the ATR image I have, but I don't know what the configuration difference is. SDRIVE.ATR
  6. I think what you have in your hand is - as the sticker said - a prototype, i.e. a non-finished game, probably in its early stage of development. So it not surprising that the game does not work as expected, has glitches, and even crashes.
  7. I just edited my post about the same time you posted, so you might want to read it again because I added a bit more info. Anyway I'm about to go watch some TV with the other half, so I'll be signing off for today. Have a good night
  8. That's exactly what I set for the arrow keys. I'll look at where to map the other keys, then I'll copy the SDRIVE.COM file to the .atr image.
  9. This breaks down what each key sends if you peek memory location 764. These codes are without Control or Shift being pressed on the PS/2 keyboard. But Control and Shift are being automatically used by the TK-II to produce these key codes. 1200 XL navigation in play Page-Up = SHIFT+F1 Page-Down = SHIFT+F2 Home = SHIFT+F3 END = SHIFT+F4 And the arrow keys are the equivalent to the Control+Arrows of the Atari. Insert and Delete pretty much mimic the keys of the same name on the Atari, and will respond the same when used with Control or Shift combinations. SHIFT+Home will clear the screen. -------------------- The SDRIVE control file is an ATR which needs to be named sdrive.atr and placed in the root of the SD card. It contains the various *.com files. I forget what DOS is being used, and I'm away from my shop without access to any Atari computers or my SDrives at the moment. Thanks for working on this, and hopefully we'll get it all sorted out soon. Be nice to have a more universal solution than what I did.
  10. The picture is a little deceiving. But it is pretty big. It's the size of an Atari 1090XL card as per Atari's spec. The manufacturing cost increase isn't bad as it's a 2 layer board. It's an extra $4 or so....if memory serves. I may have been able to make the board around 2/3 of it's current size. But it still would be over 100mm on a side so I'd still have that pesky engineering fee. Since there were so many through-hole components, I decided to make the board look almost like something from 1984. It even has the part number and logo on it. đŸ™‚

  12. Are my eyes deceiving me, perhaps an optical illusion. But that CPM card looks huge, and greatly unpopulated. Was there a reason for this, because it sure looks like it could be condensed down to a third of its present size. This would also impact the PCB manufacture cost and perhaps the shipping as well.
  13. Not sure that this fits here, but I came across this printout of the XL Parallel bus: Almost forgot to add... NOT means normally low DavidMil XL Parallel Expansion Bus.pdf
  14. Today
  15. Well, that would be "Welcome back...".
  16. Reissue Midnight Mutants for the 7800. Atari owns this game already. If "Grampa" being in the game is too much to re-license, then just pay an Atari 7800 programming enthusiast to change all references of Grampa to a new name and change the graphic of the character slightly to a more generic Dracula. Do you see what this game is going for on eBay? There is definitely demand for this game! Also, it's cool that this is an Atari 7800 exclusive game. https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=702
  17. I got a Saroo card on eBay, and I have my own 512GB Micro SD card. My seller on eBay sent me a file to "flash it myself" since I didn't buy a 32 GB card. I don't have a PC so I can't follow the normal instructions. I have a Mac Mini M2 and a Motorola One Ace 5G Android as my computing devicesI. got my file stored in an email unprocessed on my Moto. What would be the best way to prepare the SD card, and how do I flash it for Sega Saturn Saroo?
  18. Looks like a nice machine and peripherals. pop open the 1027 and look at the print head, if it is good it needs to be sent to someone for measuring and re creation. The tape player may need belts. The drive may need a clean and lube. Welcome back to the club!
  19. I've noticed the same thing. I'm finding that the "E" is near impossible to get unless you plunge the ball just right and get lucky. I think getting A-C-E twice consistently may only be practical if you're playing more than one ball. I'm also finding that there is little point in trying to aim for anything with the flippers. Sometimes the tip of the flipper hits the spinner. Other times, it hits one of the banks of targets. There is little to no consistency, even when trapping the ball. I've found it's usually best to just flip as soon as the ball comes into contact with the flipper.
  20. Just ask or call them, they will sell you one. You can use the ebay contact system or https://www.myatari.com/
  21. I had been looking at easing back into the 8bit Atari scene for a while and when this popped up on Ebay. The seller says it was all stored in an attic and probably doesn't have more than 20 or so hours use on it. When they sent me a discounted offer...I took it. I got everything in the picture for $199.00. Whatcha think? PS Assuming it all works, I guess an Incognito would be a good route to take?
