  2. Unlikely unless it's damaged. If you have some version of BASIC, you could try writing a short loop to poke say 170 (Binary %10101010) into memory above 2MB i.e. starting at 2097152 and peeking back the value, check if its 170, if it's 255 then likely a decoding logic fault, any other value would indicate a chip fault, if it's a consistent value, then you could determine which chip it is byte the failed "bit(s)"

Mine is out for delivery today - 5 days earlier than originally expected. 🙌 So exciting! 🙌 Planning to try out a collection of 70s and 80s Atari 2600 ads as my first video as the .mvc is encoded, tested, and ready to go. Can't wait!!
  4. Hi, I think I was thinking about a video showing the steps of getting the firmware and flashing it to the GSP. maybe highlighting what has been accomplished so far, stuff like that 🙂 But, yes, I think you are right that things are changing and there may be something new and exciting coming soon with the PCUAE updates. Best to wait until things settle down a bit to ask about "How To" info. Thanks for responding to me!
  5. Gotta wait till it gets here and examine everything, but for the 800, the Incognito looks like the way to go.
  6. Umm...Windows10 here is reporting malware/virus on "dcport.images.zip".
  7. Shareware is only part of the explanation. Most Shareware/Freeware games were obscure and generally of lower quality than commercial games before Apogee and ID started turning out shareware games that became major hits in the 90s. In the West most game development shifted to computers after the crash, and a computer-focused publishing industry sprung up with companies like Electronic Arts, Broderbund, Sierra On-line, Epyx, Datasoft, SSI, Origin, Cinemaware, Accolade, Microprose, Infocom and so on.. Some of these ported only a fraction of their games to console (usually only the ones that were hits on computers first) some of them had games considered too complex for consoles of the era. At the same time consoles games libraries seemed more dominated by Japanese developers. Even into the 90s and early 2000s there was a large divide between the types of games that were popular on PC vs console. It wasn't like today where most games appear on both PC and console and consoles are capable enough to handle the more complex sim and RPG type games
  8. Looks like an epoxy resin cast? Very pretty.
  9. You'll do anything for an U1MB.... or should that be an Ultimate onezee mega bikini?!?!
  10. See how I get my money for all my cool Atari upgrades?

  12. About card sizes.... Here's a better picture of 5 different cards. On the top row, from left to right, is the 80 column card, the 320k card, and the cx-85 numeric keypad card. On the bottom row, from left to right, is the z-80 card (with 64k of RAM) and the 64k/256k replica. (The replica is an almost exact replica of the Atari card.) Here's the two memory cards. The replica is on the bottom and the 320k card is laying on top. For the sake of comparison, here's an Apple II 16k card on top of the 64k replica card. Here's the 320k card on top of the 64k/256k replica card... Here's the Apple II 16k card above the 64k/256k replica card.
