  1. Past hour
  2. I forgot about this game. I may have to revisit it this month. 🙂
  3. Can't edit no more - F... Yeah! I am PokeyMax 4 DIY ready! On Saturday I will make another Ultimate Cart using a slightly different soldering technique, and make sure my result is repeatable. Also need to clean my desk, I made a huge mess when fighting this
  4. In yesterday's blog, I said I was going to start working on a version of Flying Hamburgers for the Colecovision. Well, I started. And added some stuff in there. I need some more information on how to scroll the screen. But I got the title screen done. I want to scroll the screen, just like in the Intellivision version. But I don't know if I'll be able to do that.
  5. For release 9.2.22, I am preparing the following innovations: For the AST plugin, there will be one new option for the Unerring Master (UM) turbo. When selected, TURGEN will restructure the input binary file so that no data block will be longer than 42 KB. The restructuring will be performed in-memory, so that the original binary file is not changed. UM is prone to extremely long data blocks (more than 64 KB). These long blocks then do not fit in .CAS files (.CAS files are restricted to 64 KB per chunk), and mainly TSFX. To limit the block size, TURGEN "injects" INIT segments and small DATA segments with just one RTS instruction. As expected, the restructuring might not work for some binary files. There will be three TSFX creation styles instead of two. 1. Standalone TSFX. This works as before 2. One TSFX per project item. This is new. This will create one TSFX for each project item. TURGEN will automatically determine if a standalone or composite TSFX is to be created for the item. The output TSFX file name and screen title will be generated automatically, like for the standalone TSFXes. 3. From all project items, create one single composite TSFX. This works as before. The innovation for the TSFXes has a lot of potential, because in the future, you will be able to create a TSFX that records a cassette boot file with Turbo Blizzard loader followed by Turbo Blizzard records. Of course, you can accomplish the same even now, by creating two separate project items, but it is clumsy. Also, it will be possible (with some limitations) to create a TSFX from a .CAS file that holds both standard and turbo records.
  6. Hallo, Ich habe noch genug Material zum 15 A2cRGB zu machen. Ich brauche nur ein bisschen Zeit. Ich kontaktiere dich privat.
  7. I've launched both those games with no issues multiple times on a 32gb Sandisk Ultra, which is U1. My JCD's were converted from multi BIN/CUE images that were verified by Redump.
  8. Well that could be cool to experiment with.. Can minimally rename the categories and change music. At least some of the existing built in games are probably best left with their defined existing class and game types especially for paddle scenarios. There does seem to be some logic outside of the database record values alone in play.
  9. Ah, I see. The ID-number is the same as those original links, so it was the same page all along. I just thought relisting would have given it a new number. I never saw it open so it must have come and gone a few times. Whatever the case, I hope this ends up in place where it's properly opened up and documented but that is perhaps wishful thinking.
  10. I am in awe of what you guys can do with these devices! I don't understand half of what you post, but it is all super interesting and intriguing! Has anyone done a video to walk through the steps of getting this to work on the GSP? I'm fairly competent in setting up Botocera or retropie, and I got the Nexus for the legends and flashbacks working, but I will admit to using what other folks posted for that, but the GSP stuff seems a bit out of my league 🙂 A detailed tutorial would be amazing! Thanks for all that you guys do!
  11. For what I see in the pictures in OP (especially the total of the PCB) there are the typical changes in the audio section, incl. new filter coils near the audio jacks, additional ceramic caps (e.g. the flat brown one near the SCSI port). So I presume it is an original MK-I.
  12. In this case it's a bit of a custom job with the paddle added. They make other controllers that will report under the same name that do not have the paddle. The evtest app exists on the GSP, we've run that before to report on how any controllers are seen.
  13. Luckily there was no trace damage, even with the shoddy work.. I know right. Had the inside of that been visible at the time of sales, well.. that would have done it for the 'premium' image. And consider that image above is after I had already picked off quite a bit of hot glue for testing. Thanks! She's back up and running properly now. Backup RAM replacement was a success, solving those issues. I also replaced the original badly bodged in battery with a nice new holder. Next problem was the battery draining at a rate where it'd maybe make it a day or so. So on to the charging area which is luckily a simple circuit... Don't have the SMT diodes on hand so used some small through hole. That made it better, but still not good. Last check was C3 and surprise - that little bugger is bad and parasitically draining the battery.
  14. Once I put it into PCUAE you should be able to change the images in the GUI so change the way it looks if you want so be able to work on it more, its files will be in the PCUAE Mode folder(Modes\PCUAE_Mode\agsp_files) under the Modes folder, I plan to put all its files in there, most of them are in there now... just need to work out a way of using a USB Stick or the SD Card so you can pick it by a setting, PCUAE can be use in other models too so like THE400 Mini and Atari2600 Plus too, you can take out its PCUAE USB Drive and put into a different model and run it, you will not be able to do that if its used in the SD card(PCUAE can run on a sd card too, I run it on one) because it use exFAT, all the others mini's use FAT32, but I will work it out...
  15. Really nice! This gonna be something special to Jaguar fans! I always wonderin' how much time you guys spent these projects per day? Are you guys ever sleep? But please keep it going👍 Thanks all of you!
  16. The arcade flyer has no lore and simply refers to the thing being controlled as a “gun” 😒
  17. Played this with a friend some time ago. Fun coop game! G.i. joe cobra (1 B/B): 29050 Never seen this game before. Pal version starts in a total different screen. Is this the same game?? So I played the ntsc rom. Steeplechase (game1): 1:16
  18. SpiceWare

    Mac Studio

Wow, that's impressive! Have you seen Whisky? I've been using it to run some Windows games on my Studio:
  19. Ignoring the speed, is the XB random number generator "better" than the standard BASIC generator? Are the numbers more random? Since both give numbers between 0 and .99999..., could the XB random numbers have more numbers to the right of the decimal point?
  20. SpiceWare

    PAL60 ROMS

You're welcome! Probably - do you have a link for the PAL60 version of Gas Hog? If so I can take a look like I did when I fixed Warlords.
  21. Yep. Certainly if there is going to be a hardware update, it would make sense to just replace yours. I don't currently have a 2600+, but will probably get one shorty. It would make sense for me to wait a bit as well if there are going to be any hardware updates, however incremental they may be.
  22. Today
  23. @ivop I hadn't installed cpmtools as I figured I'd only need it once. I was using a script and utility to add the files to a cp/m disk image. It was working. Your dos2tools.atr image worked. I've now got the following utilities loaded onto a cp/m boot disk image: dump.com ed.com ddt.com load.com dos2copy.com dos2dir.com mac.com atsysgen.com While I am not a CP/M guru by a long shot, they appears to have copied correctly and appear to be working. I am thinking the next step is to put this on a real floppy disk. Having a valid format command is necessary as well. I am thinking it makes sense to make that a BIOS call. Edit: To save space in the BIOS, I am contemplating allowing bit 7, of the drive number, to be set to indicate the next write is a format command with the directory to be filled by whatever is loaded in the sector buffer. (Ideally $E5)
  24. Yep, you are right about my improper calculation. Thanks for pointing it out. Get it now.
  25. You can find deals out there, generally consoles from the immediate previous generation can be found for peanuts if you have patience and persistence in searching. I got mine for free!
  26. Yep, there’s a thread entitled “Updated cartridge socket prototypes” from a couple of weeks ago. New cart slot being tested and possible new IO board. Tends to reinforce the notion that replacing my existing 2600+ may be better than upgrading it.
