  2. Thank you for your support & kind words. I will probably not release a public demo, but I do plan on releasing a second game trailer whenever development is near the end of 'Beta'.
  3. Not having paddles makes "paddle week" a bit tricky, but we have a great game this time round. Kaboom is about as simple as a game can be, but it just works. The graphics are colourful and fun, the sound suits the game, and in short bursts at least, the gameplay can be utterly absorbing. Just a shame I'm not very good at it!. I'm also really enjoying bumper bash. I'd never played this before but I think it's probably my favourite of the the three pinball games I've played on the 2600. Anyway that's enough from me, here are some scores:
  4. Which currency? Yeah there are a lot of games they own which could be put out at the £24.99/$29.99 price point, but I think Atari are still getting enough sales of their special versions on their website for a higher price. They may be thinking lets keep these things as a premium product for as long as we can. Perhaps when sales dry up we will see more 'standard' carts. Lots of nice, but pricey carts on there: Game Cartridges – Atari®
  5. Not so elaborate of course (I've seen your app before when messing with TheC64), however, I did develop a windows app to manipulate the GSP database directly, where I added extra tables to so we could customize retroarch configurations outside of the box and also run other core libraries not built into the GSP, although the main GSP app is still initiating the events. For the most part, the GSP is all about RETROARCH (which can get complex with configurations) except for the stand-alone stella app. In one of my bigger zip files I posted (probably one on the last page if not this one), there is a flowchart for how it works. In the end, a script is used to determine how the games get executed.
  6. There must have been more that 2 GITD Baby Pac-Man Carts because I have one. I wanted the Baby Blue but was too late and the glow was my #2 choice.
  7. due to various conflicts the central Texas TI festival is being put off. we'll talk about it and might re-schedule for later.
  8. Here is how: Download the 7z file from http://frs.badcoffee.info/files/MSX_Art/MSX_palettes.7z There are palettes for various programs; I used the MSX2_SCR8.gpl file for GIMP. In GIMP, go to "Window -> Dockable dialogs -> Palettes". Right-click on the newly opened selection and choose "Import palette". When you now open some image, scale it to 256x192, then go to "Image->Mode", choose indexed, and select the imported palette. Save the result as a GIF file.
  9. Do you have the link, or know what data / address line and resistor value? I am assuming it is either a pulldown or pullup.
  10. I already got it going with my TIImageTool (disarming the "too many unprintable char" warning). This seems to work with your GIF program; I could not run it on my hardware Geneve yet (for the above mentioned issues). It took me only minutes to create it with GIMP. TESTBILD_G
  11. Analogue has never been interested in making cheaper consoles, their target market has always been limited high end devices. I'm not sure about GBA, SNES and Mega Drive, but if they wanted they could sell 8-bit FPGA consoles in simpler boards with more or less the same features around 100$, the Altera Cyclone V they use is overkill for something like an NES.
  12. Just something to keep in mind... gold fingers should be used on carts. I know that adds a bit more to the cost, but it insures good conductivity for years. I have a Kung Fu Flash cart I purchased for cheap off of eBay, but unfortunately didn't notice that it didn't have gold fingers. I would have gladly paid the extra to get this feature.
  13. At least something is older than me. 5 years before I was born.
  14. Labels look good on my #1 and #2. I do have the other Glow in the Dark Baby Pacman 2/2! As you get older, at some point and time you have to think about selling your collection.
  15. I just finished up testing an RF Modulator Replacement Interface Board for the C64C (similar to SAVO) which uses a Mini-DIN for S-Video and a 3.5 mm stereo jack in a multiple purpose role, selectable by a jumper. It always routes stock audio through the left channel, but gives you three options for the right channel output - Composite Video, Right Channel Audio, or Lumacode output. The last two options require specific hardware to support it. I just thought I'd throw this idea out there as a possibility to add to an Atari specific interface. Uses one of these to break-out the Left and Right channel of the 3.5 mm jack. White = stock (left) audio output Red = Composite Video -or- Right Audio -or- LumaCode BTW, I can't take credit for the multi-purpose 3.5 mm jack idea. That came from someone else's design that I spotted a while back on YouTube.
  16. True, but with P&P of £3.50 on top of that and without a cartridge shell.
  17. Most of the PEB's are overpriced on eBay, and then with shipping to Canada even more costly. -- I did a few weeks ago buy a Canadian PEB that was for sale because it was priced low and included a Horizon 4000 and Flex Cable, so it was worth it. But yeah I am in the same boat, I got like 3 PEB's I am not using, all they are being used for is to store extra PEB cards, I have a bunch of original rs232, 32k, ti disk controllers. i might use another peb soon once i get another flex cable card and another peb joiner for it, as my main systems are packed full, no extra slots, and i need more free slots to add more cards, at the rate i am going i might end up with 3 peb's on one console, if i could find a way to connect all 3 flex cables together, have a total of 21 slots (7 per box). but you only have 16 cru addresses officially, but still there is cards that don't use a cru like the SAMS, and if i move the speech inside to peb as well, that 18 for sure 16 at cru's and 2 with no cru, does the forti sound card use a cru? if not, that would bring it up to 19 in total. -- Hmm, how to get all 21 slots used!
  18. Today
  19. What no CD Video (Laserdisc) Controller... you are missing out!
  20. Just use @F.G. Kaal TIDIR program it converts PC files to DIS/fix128 with no issues, I used it for the sample GIF's I included with my release.
  21. 15.00 was the price. I still like having the 10 in 1 cart. I think the design with the dip switches on the back are a nice touch! Like you said it’s worth collecting and I like the artwork also! Getting the Atari 2600+ has me looking at games again. I’d like to see Atari start selling some of these Brand New CIB. I know they have a few. I’d like to see more.
  22. Good to know, and thanks. FWIW, I normally build UAVs out with jumpers made from pin headers instead of the terminal block, and right-angle connectors where the screw terminals would go. Makes them a lot easier to package inside of the machine(s). Understood. Mine's drilled; I don't believe that the SAVO board was around at the time. I also try to keep RF modulators installed where possible so that there's a video output of last resort for testing, etc., but on an XEGS the stock composite output can handle that function instead. Thank you for that; having the side-by-side comparisons are extremely useful. Much easier than using picture-in-picture, too From looking at the first photo, I see what you mean. At first glance it appeared as though replacing the DuPont connectors on the SAVO board with right-angled ones might allow for running the wiring to the SAVO under the U1MB's ribbon cables, but the more I look at it the less certain I am that this would be the case. Some could possibly be curved towards the outside, but even then it looks like there may be a few that can't take that route. Hmm. A 3D-printed U1MB bracket like the ones for the 600XL and 800XL would be very useful here. Hmmm...
  23. We left it for you Actually, I completely skip PEBs any more. I have no place or use for another.
  24. I've always liked the creepy eyes in this artwork. How much was it? I have considered picking this and Adventure up too, but as they are included in the 10 in 1 cart I have held back. They'd still be worth getting CIB for collecting sake, but I'd have to have NTSC. Either way I really do need to play both of these, what kind of Atari fan am I?! 🤣 I wonder if Adventure is your next arrival? 🤔
