  2. Keystone Kapers is a Great Game! You really picked a good one! That is my go to game still to this day. I first bought mine back in the early 80’s when I owned an Atari Clone the Coleco Gemini which I purchased at Sears. It was my first Atari system. Take a good look at the controller my score was much higher on that system because of the controller. It had a built in paddle which worked well but the original Atari paddles were the best. If you can do 7800 emulation check out Keystone Koppers by Muddyvision
  3. Has anyone played with the SOUND UNIT on UCSD PASCAL running on CLASSIC99? I am simply trying to get the sounds to play but cannot seem to get it working. Something simple i am missing? Thanks!
  4. I only seen myAtari selling the nullmodem cable on ebay, and I avoid 'best' since he only uses the most expensive shipping to Canada. I guess I could take a shot at making one, my hands hurt like hell today, but by the time I order parts I will hopefuly be doing better
  5. They were all getting their drug addiction while playing a hypodermic needle dart game.
  6. That is difficult to say without testing for randomness, which I have not done. XB does the LCG thing with full 14-decimal digit integers, whereas TIB does that with only 2 decimal digits at a time for at least 7 times—once for each pair of the 14 decimal digits. They both produce up to 14 decimal digits of precision in the returned number. XB uses the lower 14 digits of the LCG, whereas TIB swaps the bytes of the new seed before it returns each 2 “random” decimal digits. TIB’s LCG is 16 bits wide (run 7 times), whereas XB’s LCG is 47 bits wide (run once). Potentially, but needs testing. No. Each produce up to 14 decimal digits of precision—see above comments for details. ...lee
  7. Without the proper cable you are sidelined, unless you make your own. BEST and B&C (myAtari) still sell both cables.
  8. Is there anything like a list of hashes that are confirmed to be properly converted? Seems that would be useful for knowing if you got it right. Just having a CRC32 to aim for would be handy. Then as long as someone else has a working version you could a least see if it matches what's been working for others. Can always verify the disc via redump if you have the right drives, but seems some hashes for a converted set would clear up mystery about file vs hardware more quickly.
  9. First a demo Then a Classic Then a Home Brew Thanks aotta 20240509_192932.mp4 VID_20240509_194739.mp4 VID_20240509_194448.mp4
  10. I don't have an Atari serial cable, I guess the one I had years ago went with the PR Connection I had back then, all I can find on eBay is the CX88 null modem cable.. So I'm not sure what to do next, other then put the project aside and maybe get a sx212 modem thats on the SIO instead. I'm totally unfamiliar withe the T:Scope you mentioned.
  11. Hey thanks man! Making the trailer was a blast. It was actually the first time my brother and I ever recorded something live action like this, so that was exciting! Hope you enjoy the game! 😀
  12. I have added to the first post my explanation of how XB’s RANDOMIZE and RANDOMIMZE <seed> work. ...lee
  13. This arrived today. It didn't work at first. I had to clean the cart twice. I never had to clean a 2600 cart until now. I'm glad I was able to get it working. I took a chance buying the game because the seller said it worked when last played. But they had no console to test it on. Anyway, I like the game. I've played it before as a ROM. Now I have the physical cart. My only complaint is those toy planes set you back at the start of the level if they hit you. I know you can duck to avoid them. It's all about the timing. I own 2 Activision games. River Raid is on a multicart. Keystone Kapers is the only official Activision cart I have at the moment.
  14. I count 13 enemies. That's Level 9, all right. Getting close to winning. Very impressive!
  15. Phil Adam looked quite inebriated during Tommy's Intellivision Headquarters Lunch Tour.

  17. A fixed version of Impossible Mission would be even better!
  18. I agree that the participation level in this thread is disappointing. And probably so would be the size of the group willing to do a round robin evaluation -- then again, maybe there are a significant number of us who have not contributed to this top 100 (myself included) because we don't feel qualified due to a lack of comprehensive familiarity/experience, but would happily embrace the challenge of comparing and ranking games in a serial manner? Guess if no one happens to take up the mantle and I find enough time at some point to consider spearheading an effort, I could start with a poll to gauge interest. Would also like to hear more about any progress with the adaptive top 10 database idea.
  19. @dabone , Is it safe to test the voltage output not under load? Center post positive or negative? Thanks for this kewl new product. Most of my TI transformers buzz because of age, and I'm sure the original PSU could do with a recap.
  20. Plays nice on the GSP, but when I hit reset nothing happens. BTW choosing Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream for the music was genius.
  21. It is very nice art work and I even hesitated to suggest changing it up at all. Maybe just some additional stuff. More bosses or something to add from the Jag DNA.
  22. cool, I will dig up that early score -- although in retrospect it is a little pathetic that my best performance was one of my very first attempts and, apparently, all the "skills" I have developed since are straight up trash. 💔
  23. Rolling around in my head for a long time: an idea to update a little demo of mine. What kind of timeframe are we looking at?
  24. Most likely the rip is bad, though perhaps you could try using the latest conversion tool to see if that improves the situation.
